The more I look at that layout the more I like it. :)

Sploosh and rise into the final brakes looks complete. Weeee.
Sweet... I'm predicting a final pop of air there, especially for the front of the train.
Why does the "next" button actually load the previous picture?

^ If it's anything like Behemoth, there will most certainly be a pop of air there for the front seat. Behemoth definitely has some sick air in the front seat entering the brake run.

Not quite. That last piece connecting the rise from the splashdown isn't there yet, and won't be until the end according to Don Helbig. But they should be starting on the lift hill soon!
Work Continues on Kings Island's Newest Ride
A crane will drop the ride’s highest point into place next week, butthe gap coming out of the splashdown will be the last piece added.
“That's Piece 129 laying on the ground, and it'll be the last part of the ride that gets put together,” Helbig said.
I really don't get that. Why that piece, when it's already laying right there and could have been installed yesterday?
Because the brake run has sway forward and back built into it. If they complete the circut the last piece needs my need to move a inch or two to fit. Thats the last piece of the puzzle.
Why are you still posting here if the forum sucks so much, Chuck?

Is it just me or does it seem like they will be done building this ride before the end of the year. Maybe because all the ground work they had to do but it does seem like they started building it earlier than usual.
No, it's just that the season is ending later than it used to. Plus, with the park open, you have to do some amount of foundation work prior to the park opening for the season because you can't tear up the midways. That's why some of those footers were there in May.

Since one major question regarding Kings Island's 2009 season has been answered, I can't help but wonder about the other major change the park may be seeing: Will Nickelodeon return next year, or will we see some new characters roaming the park?
Nick is still a HOT property right now, I can't imagine anyone dropping a Nick license. As much as I loved the old MoA with Peanuts, have to admit the Nick licensing has done VERY well there - both from my limited personal viewpoint and apparently from ridership figures - it was busy as heck in the park even when the mall itself was quiet (save A&F, Hollister, etc., hehe).
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
I'll bet you an imaginary quarter that next year sees the return of Hannah-Barbera Land.

Looks like most lift supports are up. First drop pullout, too.
Edit - They're putting up more of the first drop pullout as we speak!
I work Flight Deck at Kings Island. The music is all basically older stuff. Yellow Submarine, We are the Champions, all kinds of shtuff like that.
I also work Son of Beast and I was doing lock out gates the other night (security gates that surround the perimeter of the ride) and NO, Diamondback does NOT interfere with the SOB woods.
