PKI 2009

Does anyone know the reasoning behind the different colors of the track supports? I think it was mentioned earlier that a coaster at another park also has different color supports.

It seems to be something Cedar Fair is into lately. Dominator has a different colored loop and Silver Bullet has different color schemes as well. It seems completely superfluous to me but hey, whatever floats your boat.

^^Because it's purty? ;)

KICentral has pics up from the 29th, 1st, and 3rd, looks like they're getting into putting the lift up now.

I think they said the yellow would make the lift hill stand out and dominate the skyline. The gray supports would blend in better in the woods.

One Love

Yeah, the supports are a little unusual. Not like the recent B&M supports with one straight column and one angled column. I think it had to do with the space they had to fit the lift into.

First drop is just about hung if anyone wants to get their daily coaster porn early.

The wife always gets made when she catches me looking at construction photos.

Your wife becomes an untouchable in the Mafia?

There are worse things she could catch you looking at. BTW, is you wife a coaster fan? If she is, she shouldn't be so upset.

Coaster Junkie from NH
I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!

The wife likes construction tours but doesn't care to look at photos and wonders why I always have webcams open.

Does anyone have any details about the preview night for Diamonback on April 17th? The website is rather vague about it; just wondering if this is an all day affair with other rides operating as well, or just a few hours for gold/platimun passholders to catch a few quick rides?

If it was an all-day affair why would they call it "Preview Night"?

Don talked about it at the GOCC holiday party, but I don't remember details. He mentioned that there wouldn't be a Beast Walkback for ACE this year because Diamondback would be open for morning ERT. I think he said that Beast would be open as well. If that's the case, I'm sure you'll be able to get plenty of Beast rides seeing as how most people will likely be in line for Diamondback. I believe he also said that an ACE card would work as your morning ERT pass if you don't have a Platinum Pass.
