Rumors of the removal of GL's X-Flight

Borg ran both the one day I bothered to go to Carowinds this year. Stacked for about a minute at a time though. :-/

X Flight's third train has been MIA since the year it opened, eventually cannibalized for parts.

Most of my visits have seen two trains/one station during peak season with one train operation the rest. On some occassions they have used both stations.

X Factor

Vekoma actually has one of the cars from the blue X-Flight train that has disappeared... take that to mean whatever you want.

^^They were doing the same thing with Batwing's 3rd train for a couple of seasons after the ride opened but now it's simply gone.

With all the stacking due to horrid load times I don't believe that either park will ever be able to run all three trains,even with both stations going.They really need to start disptaching the 2nd train after the 1st has cleared the inlines....otherwise they end up having to slow the lift to a crawl in order to avoid a block violation.

I was on the ride at least once this season when they had to stop the lift for a couple seconds to allow train # 2 to clear the brakes.

That's a Batwing problem, not a Flying Dutchman problem. X-Flight never had that problem.

We drove by Gl last yesterday. X-flight looked the same and had no cranes around it.
Same also goes for SUE/Steel Venom. (we thought there were cranes over SV, but we'd forgotten that Mind Eraser goes over SV and from a distance can look like a crane.)
