Rumors of the removal of GL's X-Flight

uhhh....Offseason maintenance anyone?
Maybe it's sinking...

Hello, Hello! (hola!) I rode a ride named Vertigo!-with apologies to U2

^There ya go! Given the extremely accurate marsh and gravel theming for the ride, perhaps that was merely a cover up.
Yeah, sinking, the true sign that CF has taken over.

X-Flight's hangin' with Maggie!

jk :)

Maybe they're going to give it a tunnel and a waterfall, so X-Flight won't be jealous of Maverick.

^ Now THAT would be disrespectful to Maverick! ;)

Just add a big, navy blue "12 E"

Haven't lol'd on cbuzz in a while, thanks...

This doesn't say much, but Screamscape says that Batwing might not open next year. If there's a defect between both of them, maybe they figure why not give it away?? I don't know, but I'm just thinking. Who knows if Screamscape is right either.

^^ I know, isn't that funny. I'd just tell the company that built X-flight, way to go, you built a piece of junk and spent millions. COOL! :)

Don't ya think.

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.
^^I heard that rumor last night myself on a fansite for the park....could be an SF issue what with the debt though.

Already TSC is confirmed as being out of comission for the 07 season & aside from Batwing & superman is one of the most problematic rides in the entire park.

First, the fan site your refering to heard it from Screamscape as well. Second, no one has confirmed TSC will be out of comission in 2007 just like no one has confirmed Batwing will be closed for 2007. Your morphing the rumor about Batwing into something that might not be true.

A day at the park is what you make it!

After riding tatsu this last week, I say "tear it down".

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

GeaugaLake Today is reporting that Trucks and people some how connected near Cincinatti were spotted near X Flight, the site even shows what appears to be slow dismantling of the Coaster.
Are you just talking about the one picture with the lights gone (I believe someone said.)? That's not removing track. Or is there another picture you are talking about??

Yes, we've established that a website has a picture of a truck under the ride.

I doubt it means much.

LOL! Got to love how these RUMORS start. I took the pictures and there was nothing resembling SLOW DISMANTLING. The two pictures on GLT are of a van parked under the ride (no dismantling there) and a picture of the lifhill missing lights. Removing lights form the lifthill I guess is the same as dismatleing to some, but I assure you no dismantling has taken place.

In response to coaster maniac - as the webmaster of that site, I must point out that I have not stated there is slow dismantling of the ride. I have only pointed out through my friend's photos that there was a surveying van on the ride's site as well as posting the photo of the removed lift hill lights. All I did was to let you draw your own conclusions.

I did take a drive by today - nothing going on though there is a white semi trailer parked on the road that leads to the drop off area. When I talked to my friend who took the photos earlier today he stated that this trailer was not there when he went by on Wednesday. Now the road to the drop off area is barricaded with cement planters.

There is also red markings across Route 43, running diagonally from the X Flight area towards the Speedway gas station on the other side of the road. This leads me to think that it could be some utility work going on in that area soon.

Personally, the only things that I find unusual are:

1. The fact that Berding Surveying is based out of the Cincinnati area. Why not a company based more local, which I don't understand and,

2. Why survey a ride that's already built unless they are surveying for the supposed utility work I mentioned above. However utility work wouldn't result in the lift hill lighting being removed.

That would be cool if they were just enclosing it or adding theming to it.

It sure would be cool! ;-)

What a surprise!

Hmm does that wink mean you know anything? lol.

"DISASTER TRANSPORT: MISSION 2"
Take a "flight" from the new Aurora terminal. Along the way, witness the horrors of a 70's acid trip under the blacklight of mystery. Watch as animatronic arms shoot sparks at a "transport module." Listen to the gut-wrenching sounds of disappointed families asking "was that it?"

DISASTER TRANSPORT: MISSION 2
Can you handle it?

(The above is obviously humor)
