I would have posted this in the news section, but for some reason the server hates me.

Valleyfair announces 'Renegade' for 2007

Valleyfair has announced it will build a $6.5 million wooden roller-coaster for the 2007 season. It will be the Shakopee amusement park’s seventh roller-coaster. The ride, called “Renegade,” was designed by Great Coasters International Inc. of Sunbury, Pa.

It's a bit on the smaller side, but should be an excellent addition to Valleyfair!

Maximum height: 104-feet

Opening drop: 91-feet, banked

Track length: 3,113-feet

Top speed: 52 miles-per-hour

Duration: 2 minutes

Sounds totally excellent thus far, and of course the bigger news is that not only is VF getting what is surely going to be a great ride, but of course, the bigger impact on the chain itself. How many years has it been since CF built a wooden coaster? We should all be dancing in the streets at the prospect.

Hmmm... Worlds of Fun hosts Coaster Con in 2008, I wonder if GCII will work their magic before then. :)
