A little question. What does line of sight have to do with anything? Do you mean to tell me that people stopped riding the Beast at Kings Island years ago all because they can't see it from the front gate?

There's a ride called The Beast? At King's Island? I sure didn't see it from the front of the park so I'm sure it isn't there. :)

Cedar Point doesn't care who can see their rides. The only way to see any of the rides in the park is to be on the causeway, and if you're on the causeway, then you're going to the park regardless of what you can see. It's not like the park makes money if people ride the new coaster. Once people are in the park, they're not going to make any more money by having people ride it. See?

Well, considering the fact that I park in the Soak City parking lot anyway when I go to Cedar Point (there's no rules stipulating that you cannot)... I DO see the back of the park and basically everything inbetween as I approach my parking space.

...so in theory, I'd see Maverick along with SkyHawk & of course... Mean Streak while driving along Perimiter Rd (or whatever the name of the road is called).

Battery Park in Sandusky, Marblehead Lighthouse, South Bass Island, on Lake Erie??? I think you are thinking too small, there are many places you can see rides at CP besides the causeway.

Right, but the point is that Maverick's visibility or lack there of isn't going to make much of a difference to CP's bottom line, especially visibility from somewhere like Battery Park.

It *is* going to make a difference on the look and feel of some sight lines *within* the park which is why I brought it back up in the first place but I guess that was lost of a few people or wasn't very clear or whatever...

Why are you even debating something as stupid as whether or not you can see the damn ride from where ever? What does that have to do with anything at all?

It has to do with the visual and atmospheric impact the ride is going to have on the rest of the park.

The "debate" was created by people who mistook the discussion for something it's not.

Looks like a lot of fun, nothing crazy, ground breaking or record breaking. I'm not te biggest fan of CP but this ride looks good!

Fast lift hill. Really, really fast. Only three inversions but interestingly done. Some of those twisty dives look sick. I can't forget about that air time hill. Holy crap does that look like it will deliver.
