^^ & ^^^ I'm liking what I'm hearing from you two in terms of *pricing structure* for a family air-launched steel . Wondering if Stan Checketts would be a good match for HW....hoping for a yes! :)

Stew and gravy coming

Of course, we'll pay for the gravy in one lump sum.

Well, maybe they can just get Pepsi too allow them to make an exception to their pepsi-only products and put this up in the oasis next to the voyage:

Of course, I'm still trying to figure out how such a "family friendly" park doesn't have a merry-go-round. Doesnt that just scream, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen?

Why not have a carousel with reindeer instead of horses and chariots that look like Santa's sleigh? Naturally it would play Christmas music. KW and Seabreeze sometimes do this on their carousels. *** Edited 7/31/2006 8:37:44 PM UTC by Arthur Bahl***

I think the addition of a carosuel in the Christmas area would be perfect, but that does not explain the equipment in the woods near the Voyage. A zamperla disko similar to Avatar at King's Island would be not only affordable, but a great ride for the entire family. Or if they are looking to work on Splashin' Safari, a ProSlide Rocket or Behemoth Bowl would be quite nice! *** Edited 8/1/2006 2:41:04 AM UTC by WildStangAlex***

What equipment? I saw nothing this weekend. Even if there was, they are still building the cafe.

You may have not seen the construction, but that doesn't mean they're not building anything.

NEWSFLASH:
Holiday World will be getting two new rides next year. One for each park. Ship it.

I was there Sunday the 30th and Monday the 31st. I saw some equipment on the Snowy White Road over by the Voyage woods, but no activity other than the Cafe, which looks like it's VERY close to finished.

Of course, a post I made last year when Astroworld was announced to be closed was to buy their Greezed Lightning, put it in the Thanksgiving section, and call it the "Plymouth Rocket" Of course, that ride will get a new lease on life now at Joyland in Texas.

I don't know how well the Zamperla rides have held up at Holiday World, but after talking with a carnival operator recently, he states that Zamperla and Wisdom make "disposable rides". Meaning, you get a couple years out of them and then replace them or put out some major money in repairs.

I think Paula is leaving us some pretty good clues in her recent blogs as to the additions. This is one I spotted off right away and leads me to believe that the addition to the dry park will be a new/refurbished tilt-a-whirl. This was something that got axed this past season but was originally intended to possibly be moved to the THanksgiving section. Anyway, here is the clue that makes me think this:

"Now, before you bowl me over with emails thinking somehow the Applause Fountain is tied in with all this, I'll deny it now. Why in the world would we tilt our hand this late in the game?"

P.S. I bolded the word "tilt" myself. It's obviously not in bold in the Holiblog
