the only disappointing thing is I'm not likely to be able to make a trip top HW again for quite some time.

I can't see HW getting a huge steel coaster that might damage the family image. It wouldn't feel right to be launched at great speeds at Holiday World. (Okay, I would really like it if they got one but that's beside the point.............)
What family image? How is the Voyage a family ride? It beats the crap out of me and I definately don't see the whole family riding it (grandparents, small kids). If HW wants to be a family park they have to have rides for the whole family, adults included, not just for kids. A steel rollercoaster is exactly what they need if they want to continue to increase their attendance. Yeah, they probably have most of the family crowd coming to their park but if they want to grow they need to take into consideration the thrill seekers. Beside, I don't think wooden coasters are all that family oriented; they are rough, cause people to have headaches, etc.
...yeah, but The Voyage doesn't give wedgies.

No, it just undresses you.
Chuck who found his shirt up around his neck and his shorts being pulled off after a double ride!
Lucky we were backseat and theres a brake run!

I saw LOTS of older and younger kids riding Voyage when I was there...I think in Indiana families are a lot "tougher" than they are on the coasts. ;)
And that "roughness", that's poorly-maintained wooden coasters...they're not SUPPOSED to be rough...

I can definately see HW getting a steel coaster as their next coaster addition. I just don't think that it will be a large thriller type of addition.
Personally I'd love to see one of the custom layout spinning coasters that seem to be popping up all over Europe. Sure the U.S. is seeing lots of spinning coasters pop up, but the key work is 'custom'.
