Well we (MiG) are looking forward to the free stew when we visit Holiday World on Tuesday. I can hardly wait to get back to the park again. Now what time are you guys on compared to Missouri? ;)

Remember, Holiday World is on the same time as St. Meinrad, which is on God's time!

Seriously though, HW is on EST but currently does not observe Daylight savings time. It will all change soon and do not know how to explain it but click here to discover exactly what time it is in Indiana. (HW is in the white)

Well from the New Road in town post on Holiblog, There is no doubt in my mind that its a steel supported wood coaster of some kind. Also to reach that area from the park would be a huge (In Length coaster.

Like the Holiblog says, No Trespassing. Paula and the park will do a fine job with updates.

Chuck, only wondering if this is some sort of Lost coaster type as that seemes about all the room the old petting zoo would have for Or it could be something as big as that DAMNED Coaster up in Wisconsin.

Lets not forget this is Holiday World and thus this coaster needs to fit into a themed area; hmm brown bird, predator, this thing is going to be big, and from the looks of the Screamscape Map its going to be in the 4th of July section of the park. This all leads me to one thing, our National Bird, the Bald Eagle.

^^^According to that site, HW is on the same time as Missouri (for right now). ;) That site makes a lot more sense than the explanations that some people have posted on h're. :) (Hey we're from St. Louis, there is one "e" in h're).

No, actually we're not on EST.

Most of Indiana is on EST, but there are five counties in the SW corner that are on CDT -- including Holiday World's county.

Mathematically speaking, EST=CDT, so our clocks are set to the same time this half of the year.

Short answer: Holiday World, and Evansville, and Gary, all follow CDT (like Chicago), unlike most of the rest of the state.

I am honestly convinced its a wooden coaster because the original holiblog hint entry gave a story about why raven had the S curve, and talked about cutting down a lot of trees.

You can still have a wooden coaster with steel supports. And the fact is, Holiday World doesn't like cutting down trees. And by making it have steel supports, they'd have to cut down less.

It's a woodie, yes. But not like Raven or Legend.

It is about *time* I stop thinking about time in Indiana. I live here and can't even keep it straight!

No, it was hovering above her; turkeys cant fly let alone hover. Only large brids of prey (like an eagle) can, and besides doesnt the turkey fit better in a thanksgiving area (maybe new land ;)).

^You don't get sarcasm do you? Turkeys can hoover if they have jet packs on their backs. Paula was just too terrified and startled by the bird that she failed to mention what it was wearing. ;)
