There is a real PLASTIC coaster. Im not sure if it's still operating, but there was one.

Ask Rideman for info on that one.

Think about the clues. A large brown bird hovering - sounds like an eagle.

What are the two most-missed rides in southwestern Ohio? Lesourdsville's Screechin' Eagle and PKI's Eagles. And we all know the southwestern Ohio region is a sought-after demographic, second only to the crowds near Kentucky Kingdom. Or at least the ones riding Twisted Twins.

And all this talk about hybrids. There's only one inescapable conclusion.

They're mounting Bisch-Rocco Flying Scooters onto a relocated Screechin' Eagle. Snappage with insane airtime. All those pieces of metal are the adapters needed to mount a spinning ride on top of a coaster train.

The talk of birds wearing diapers and bows and arrows? Could be the result of drinking corn rather than eating it. I do seem to recall somebody talking about getting stewed...:)

Of course I know. I said:

I just have learned that the fine art of teasing and manipulation often kicks the line of deceit and can result in frequent even if unintentional crossings of that line. I don't think you are a bad person. I just don't trust ANYONE doing what you have to do now.

I can respect your job, but I never trust people intentionally trying to egg me on. It's just a rule I have that seems to work out quite frequently.

So I missed it, when Is the official announecment now?

It will be interesting to see if the new announcement is sometime near the 16th or if they ride out the buzz they are getting for a bit.

The new date hasn't been set yet...we're waiting to hear back from an invited party and will work around his/her schedule if at all possible.

Conspiracy theories aside, the delay is due to a scheduling snafu. Will won't be back from his IAAPA Board meeting in time to attend. I sorta figured he'd want to be there... :)

Also, this morning as we drove away from the park there was a semi that was parked at the employee parking entrance which appeared to be filled with even more steel "items"...I guess he couldn't find the Snowy White Gravel Road in the dark.

Also, for those of you heading to Holiday World and happen to love German food. Head to Jasper and go to the Schnitzelbank Restaurant. That is some darned great food! (Huge and I mean HUGE servings - order one entree and you can feed two people. The Schnitz kicks ass! Heck even just going for their monstrous salad bar is well worth the trip.

Get the apple strudel!

Years ago, we hosted a press trip and had a lovely meal at the Schnitz.

We had promised a sunset drive-by of Patoka Lake, and so had to take the strudel to-go.

One of the writers was oh-so-gentlemanly and offered to carry the two large bags with the individual portions carefully packaged.

You guessed it -- he disappeared shortly after the motorcoach pulled in at the French Lick Springs Resort. Didn't share a crumb!
