But isn't it nice to see Brett and I have differing opinions, such as our choice in Sat. Radio, and neither of us feels we're 'right'? ;)
But Paula is right, XM is better ;).

I was *going* to come to the park this weekend, but now that I know you guys listen to XM around there... I might just go to Geauga Lake instead.

If you notice the pattern, which is one bolt hole at each end and two in the middle, it's the same, except they cut one end off of it and placed it on the other side.
I have no idea why they would have only placed this one just one of those ledgers. You probably won't find many of these as CCI typically never used Y-ledgers (their banking didn't need it). CCI did sometimes use them, but very rarely, especially in the later designs. This could have been a cost saving technique since Y-ledgers take up nearly twice the amount of wood as a normal ledger and they are expensive (either 4X10 or 4X12). Maybe this could be signs of some extreme banking on the new ride?
Also, this could just be something TGG is doing and since we haven't seen a wood coaster from them yet we don't know that this wouldn't be used on one. The angle iron has always been used under ledgers in high stress areas on wood coasters, so that doesn't mean much! Although with that amount of steel, it's hard to believe it would be for a wooden coaster. Unless it just had a LOT of ledgers, which would mean a pretty long ride. It is a long way from the Fourth of July section to where those pictures were taken!

Damnit, why did I have to move to New England from Kentucky?
Which, of course, Will would rather not do.
So what do we have here? An out and back terrain coaster? Where does it start? In the Valley below the Rapids ride? On the side of the hill, using the steel structure to go over existing rides/walkways ala Cornball?
As for me, I'm steel hoping for a world record holder. HW is well terrained at making a big impact. This'll give em the best set of tree wooden coasters anywhere. *** Edited 5/27/2005 3:01:03 PM UTC by ThemeDesigner***

OK, so now will whoever that was admit defeat in our bet about wood vs. steel supports?
That was me and I have yet to see something that is unique to steel support woodies. I will pay up if I am wrong.
It looks like it just might be a steel support structure. Here are those pieces in the last pic that Paula posted. They have the same placement of the 4 bolt holes and are used to support bents on top of each other, but instead of being bents themselves, they use two. It still could be wood, or partly wood, but I am starting to feel that Jeff might be right.
And very mean looking.
Hungry, too.

That rules out Turkey.
Chuck, who don't care as long as there is Stew and free water.
