The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

There you go! The rides will only be open every fourth day...

Oh, wait -- someone's already doing that.

:) Paula

OK that's funny right there ;)
LOL :) -- thanks for that one.

Oh, NO! You ARENT building one of THOSE, are you? I knew that Will was crazy, but I thought he was also much smarter than THAT! :)

This may need a re-think. I was all set to be all excited about Holiday World's next new attraction, but if it's one of those miserable things, I have nothing to offer but condolences. Particularly with the new train design.

OK so given the last few responses from Paula, we could have a leap year section, Valentine's Day or Thanksgiving. Hmmm... Maybe they will make a section that is a multi holiday section. I wonder what they could call that section.
Wow, Paula. I'll be laughing at that till morning :).

So you're adding something themed to a Cupid-esq Bird? Or was that a hint at a hybrid? Like...wood and steel hybrid?

17 more days, is it? :)

Overhead? Bird? Brown?

Think your very close Clint.

Wow, you guys are way slower than I thought.

Paula's not-so-subtle hint meant only one thing.

Holiday World is getting a B&M dive machine. SheiKra.

OMG I have a new sig!!!
I think the bird was a bald eagle and this ride will be the next in the line of great "eagle" rides (American, Screaming, Screeching).

Are you sure it's not a "Spread Eagle"?

Whooops, this IS a family site :)

^^ Don't forget the best of the bunch. Lil' Eagle at the MB Pavillion.
In refrence to Paula's new Holiblog entry- I missed the 6PM newscast on Fox7 featuring snippets about the new attraction, but I will catch it at 9PM and relay any new info if there is any- if no other local has done so already.
Is there anything more annoying than a news website that requires registration to visit? Yeah, a park delaying their announcement. I told you I did not trust her, Chuck. I think I called the "CP/TTD like" delay due to the hype earlier in this thread.

For those who do not wish to register to view the new info from that link on the Holiblog today, here are the highlights. The expansion next year costs 12 million. It will include at least one new "marquee" ride. The park admitted something "huge" is coming and the early announcement is due to the early construction that will start this summer. Some dude from Amusement Today heard a rummor of a HW coaster, but that is just speculation.

edit: Paula, I just want you to know, just because I don't trust you, that does not mean I don't like you. :) I just have learned that the fine art of teasing and manipulation often kicks the line of deceit and can result in frequent even if unintentional crossings of that line. I don't think you are a bad person. I just don't trust ANYONE doing what you have to do now. :) *** Edited 6/1/2005 12:13:51 AM UTC by RavenTTD***

To clarify...as soon as I knew that Will's IAAPA trip (he's on the board) would cause him to miss the announcement date as planned ... I posted it on this thread.

I guess you missed it?

Paula (Chuck...you still trust me, don't you?)

Oh no, I did not miss it. I did not say you lied. I said I did not trust you. There is a difference. :)
It still hurts. :(

I'll tell you what. You trust me and email/pm me the details of the new coaster. I will not only keep your secret, but trust you in return and we can be best buddies. :)

What new coaster?

I'll reinact what Paula did last night. (Paula) :-I I wonder how I can torment the people of Coasterbuzz this time. (Husband) :-[ What haven't you done to those poor people. (Paula) :-) (twisted smile) I know, I can delay the announcement, and make them suffer more, (Husband) :-) good idea. (evil laughs)

J/K Paula, you are great, I will expect great things from this.

I trust Paula impecably.

I have a darn good Idea of whats comming but not all the details other than it's a Hybird.

Chuck, who will say no more till announcement unless it's a pun.

I never even thought or cared if it was steel supports or Wooden Supports.....I just said I thought it would be a woodie...and I said that when I thought this whole thing only went up to page 7...until i realized i forgot to hit the arrows ;)
