If you look around the SFKK website (http://www.sixflags.com/parks/kentuckykingdom/index.asp), you can find the following newly posted hints...

"SEASON'S OVER See You April 2, 2005 Watch for a BIG Announcement"

"We're working hard to bring you a NEW attraction in 2005."

"Watch for our BIG announcement about the upcoming 2005 season. It's sure to BLOW you away!"

I guess we already new something was coming from the conference call, but here's just more proof, and apparently, it's a "BIG announcement" so maybe it's something decent...

The biggest hint is that it will "blow you away." Your guess is as good as mine as to what that might mean!

Hopefully it really will "Blow you away" and not just blow... *** Edited 11/13/2004 12:20:00 AM UTC by Coaster Lover***

They already have a waterpark. I don't know if it is called Huricane Harbor, but maybe they are adding more slides and calling it Huricane Harbor. Maybe it's a 4D coaster called Tornado. I wish....

Don't they already have a Hurricane Harbor? Oops...just checked...it's Hurricane Bay at SFKK. Well, I guess a change to Hurricane Harbor wouldn't be too hard, but considering the location of the waterpark right now, is there really even room to even squeeze in one more slide tower? Then again, it wouldn't be that big of a surprise. SFI probably got some crazy deal with ProSlides. First SFGAm, then presumably SFA, and now possibly SFKK as well. Seems highly possible...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

I talked to the park operations peaople at a free concert. They said they were trying to get an upgrade for there water park approved. They said with al the water aprk compettion from Kings Island and Holiday World. They said the park could do this easily, because a new ride would be hard to fit into the park without taking something out. So my guess is an Hurricane Bay.

Man SF is going all out on waterparks for the upcoming season aren't they?

It's funny though how SFKK's hints are phrased as opposed to SFA's though with the statement of a "big announcement that will blow you away" I did read on screamscape however that SFKK did have possible long term plans for their waterpark so it'd be no suprise if that's what it is.

Well, waterparks are really making a comeback...just think of all the new waterparks, renovated waterparks, or parks that have had at least 2 new slide towers added in the last few years...PKI, PGA, DP, SFGAm, GL, HW, DW, SFNE...not to mention at least a dozen or so indoor waterparks that are either open or under construction.

Besides, it should be no surprise that SFI is buying in bulk. They probably got a nice deal with ProSlide or something...

Blow you away? Maybe a S&S air-launched coaster?

Richard Bannister, that is a good idea. It can be small and compact, just what SFKK needs.

What they are going to land the planes in the park?

I have not idea do they have that much more room for 2 or more slides in the water park area and around it?

Richard Bannister - 2 launched coasters in such a small park seems unlikely.
