SFKK posts hint for 2005...

I still think SFKK will get the same HH makeover that SFA is getting this year.

From what I hear a tornado is definitely in the works along with a proslide mammoth(family raft ride) as well as a makeover in kids cove & re-naming of existing slides so it's a possiblity that SFKK will recieve the same two attractions by proslide that SFA will be adding.

Let's hope not BatwingFan. The last two announcements at SFA had been somewhat dampered by the fact that a month before SFA's attraction was announced, another SF park announced the same ride just with a different name. Sort of took the excitement out of the announcement. I mean, I don't care if the two parks get the same things, just announce it on the same day (or have SFA announce first, though that would be odd because SFKK is announcing 1/25/05 and SFA has never announced that early).

Anyways, I'm not familiar with SFKK, but is there really enough room for both a Proslide Mammoth and a Proslide Tornado and SFKK? Both attractions take up a considerable amount of land. The family tube ride could be snaked over the pathways and such, sure, but you still need a big chunk of land for the splash down pool and a long straight section of land to squeeze the tube-return belt. As for the Tornado, that just plain takes up a big chunk of land, both long and wide. I really think a better use of the space would be a big slide tower similar to Hurricane Mountain at Geauga Lake with many tube slides and body slides. It's a MUCH higher capicity attraction for the amount of space it takes up. The only problem is just that, finding a place to put it.

As far as everyone's thought process being "well, SF installed so many Proslide Tornados last year, so they MUST be installing more this year"...well, consider this, it appears that SFGAm's slides are being supplied by ProSlide, HOWEVER, there's not a ProSlide Tornado to be found. A couple of the bowl slides (affectionatly nicknamed Toilet Bowl slides), a couple family raft rides, all the standard body and tube slides, and one of those raceing mat slides, by no Tornado....Just something to consider...

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Coaster Lover:

Besides enthusiasts (.0001% population), do you really think the average park goer at SFA and SFKK really knows what is going on at the other park respectively?

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

With the IAAPA GCII announcement of a woodie for Beech Bend in '06, I think SFKK is really in a bind if they don't step up to the plate very soon.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Just basing my hunch on the latest update at screamscape regarding SFA's plans for the HH expansion & just because SFGRAM chose not to install a tornado doesn't exactly mean the other two parks won't.
