I'd be willing to bet you that even tho there are Proslide funnels at Splashin' Safari and PKI's waterpark that people in Louisville don't know about 'em and will think theirs is unique.
Besides, almost every park has a tilt-a-whirl or wave swinger or log flume and no one complains about so many of those around. Seems like a non-issue to me.
SFKK will have a lot of competition next year with HW doubling the size of their waterpark as well as PKI adding Italian Job. Hopefully, it will be something more or less major.
Whatever they add, they're going to make it seem like the best, coolest, biggest, most exciting thing since sliced bread. That is what marketing and promotion departments DO! And to many people, a Proslide Tornado *WILL* be something that is big, exciting and cool that they have never seen before...because they haven't been to HW or PKI ;)

While I'm at it, I'd like to ask a question. Are those of us who've ridden 100 or less coasters allowed to have opinions here? Everyone from regulars to site admins who may be more fortunate than others by having ridden hundreds of coasters and having visited 30 or more parks jump all over people who have pride in some of their hometown parks. Also, if our opinions do not reflect good business decisions we should not have that opinion. Heaven forbid we want more coasters. We should want what makes more money. Lastly, quit reading so far into our posts. We weren't whining and griping about how parks don't build new coasters every year like they used to. Leave us alone. We never did anything wrong by wanting something different.

Who knows, they could be getting a big wind tunnel, or new hand dryers for the bathrooms, or fans in all the lines...all could technically be described as attractions that would "BLOW you away."
If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.
I'll be honest, ANYTHING would be an improvement to SFKK. The park, IMO really has failed to improve the overall experience. Obviously they must use the hand corporate deals them, but overall esthetics and feel at the park is depressing. There's little to no pride and the general feeling of locals here in Louisville is that they'd rather go to HW or PKI. SFKK has developed into an afternoon/summertime babysitter for teens, nothing more.
I have been a Six Flags season passholder for about 6 years now. This past season I used my pass only twice. Once at SFKK and once at SFMM. I seriously doubt I will renew this season. My days of attending the SF parks and "hoping" to see improvement (only to have those hopes dashed) are over.

Seems like the really WELL-RUN parks in the chain, like SFFT, seem to do QUITE well with *the cards they're dealt*, while other parks use that as a shameful crutch to try and explain away poor performance....
Just my opinion, mind you, but I've been to PLENTY of SF parks in the past 5 years, and the WIDELY-varying customer service, IMO, comes more from the GMs at the various parks....it's not some *corporate conspiracy* to throw feces on their "guests"....reagrdless of WHAT those guys at ARN&R would have you believe....;)
