Also one last thing, there was a sign in the park (in front of Xcalibur)that offered "bonus days". Basicly it sounded like certian days out of the season if you come you get a free ticket to be used on another day.

Considering that the 5th tidal wave boat is sitting up there i would think its pretty easy

Yes we saw the 5th tidel wave boat up next to the cholrine holdign tank. But somehign told us that sliding around in that might draw some attention, not to mention think of how hard it would be to hall back up the hill.

Well actually you may have given them an idea for a new "upcharge" ride. ;)

I suppose but I still think having a couch made from first gen. drop cars would be cooler.

Electricians are working on Excalibur to make a new cycle to work like it says it was supposed to in the press release. Apprently it will do its normal run, but when the gondalas get to the 12 oclock position the rotation of the large arm will stop and the whole drum of gondalas will slow down almost to a stop. So you will be up in the air longer than last year. Then it will kick back into full speed and bring the riders down normally. This is all if everything is worked out ok.

Oh so thats what it was i thought they were jsut in maintence mode putting it through its paces. From what i saw the ride goes up to the 12 oclock position then stops thenthen starts back up and heads the other direction. Ride time was about 2, 2 and a 1/2 mins long.
Also I wouldnt be worried about one of the gondals fallign off or the electrical connections becoming undone this year, they were down right violent to that ride the other day.
As far as rollercoasters go, Mr. Freeze, BTR, and Ninja are all up and operating, or at least have ran a few times. Looks liek work on Eagle is almsot down, they put alot of new wood on her, so expect a nice smooth ride. And Boss is still being worked on.

I have worked at Tidal Wave for years and they only have 4 boats. 3 at the ride and 1 up top is the extra that you are talking about.

This is also possibly Ninjas last year from what I have been told. Sources can't be revealed but they are reliable.

Okay first of all...I have seen all five boats with my own eyes, so maybe you better check your sources.
Ninja will not be goiong anywhere anytime soon so whoever told you that was just messing with you.

Ninja doesn't have boats so maybe you need to check the name of the ride before posting. (Did you mean Tidal Wave?) I have heard the same thing about this being possibly Ninja's last year at SFStL, so it very well might happen.

I want to know what 5 boats you have seen. We used to run it with 4 boats, and there were no extra boats at that time. Now days we run it with 3 boats and there is an extra boat in the parking lot. I would like to know who you are and how you get your info, because I think you are wrong.

Swoosh, Look at the posts BEFORE you post something wrong. I had 2 diffrent posts, one was about Tidal Wave boats, the second was about NINJA, 2 diffrent rides and 2 diffrent posts. I am well aware tha NINJA runs trains, not boats.

Its okay Grizzly Runs SOP at SFWoA always stated trains instead of boats. It is a river raft ride, but oh well. New SOPs this season.

Thank you firehouse20 for clearing up the posting issue for Swoosh, maybe he just doesn't read very well. anyways, I too have worked at Tidal Wave in the past and there are three boats that operate, one in upper lot, and one in the graveyard. And the thing with the Ninja rumor is that it is just that, a stupid rumor thought up by someone who has no clue. This is not the first time nor will it be the last time that rumors of taking out Ninja will come up.
