SF St. Louis - Anything going on??

Yeah that has to be it, Swoosh just doesn't read well!

Rolling eyes - I see your point now.

Swoosh's eyes are probably rolling from riding the Ninja one to many times... Great Ride but rough on the ears...

So what do you guys think the future of SFSL holds... being one of the original SF parks I think we get overlooked alot since SF expanded... There have been some rumors that Time Warner may be getting back into the Theme park business. Do you think SFSL would be better off with a new owner or staying under the SF name? Does the recent sale of the European and WOA parks help the Future of SF and SFSL?

Perhaps we'll get lucky and Cedar Fair will buy it as well. ;)

Actually wasn't there rumor that Busch was looking at buying it.

In five years i still hold that SFSTL will eatither be a subdivison or a Busch Gardens. And does anyone know if the park sold there other 250 ish acers to a developer. I know they dont own the feild behind Lions choice but they do/did own the 500 acers on either side of it. However as of right now they're building an industrial park on that feild.

Dont pick on firehouse20 I have even been known to be right now and then. The thing is theres alot of BS that goes around that park, and only about 25% if that is true. So maybe hes right maybe hes not. But hes very wrong on the tidal wave boats. Theres three at the ride, one up by the clohine (sp?) tank in the grave yard and one in the parking lot.

And next year there will be probly be a new coaster. You ask how I know, well i dont know. But i have a feeling after i retire (5 years) this season the curse will be lifted and a new coaster will come. Me being the curse.

Also I am surprised no one mentioned it but, Eagle got seat belts. :(

Well IF it becomes a Busch Gardens, let's hope they run the park like the Williamsburg park and not like the Tampa Bay one.
And also hope they wouldn't do the Gwazi loading process on Boss and Eagle...

I still haven't been there to ride Screamin' Eagle, the longest, tallest, fastest roller coaster in the world (of 1976).
From what I could see and heard at the park today is that Collosus is getting a nice new paint job. But I am not 100% sure. Two weeks until opening day and the park still does not look near ready yet. Mooseburger lodge is coming along though.
It would make since they have been heavily power washing the Collosus. All last week they had a guy up in a cherry picker cleaning her supports

Well, I am a team member for the Screaming Eagle now. We had our spring premier today, only 4 rides running for the premier, Screaming Eagle, Riverside, Waterstreet Cab Cars (I am certified on that as well) and Rush Street Flyer. I am very, very, very happy to say that the Screaming Eagle was running great tonight. I can definitley tell where the retracking has made a difference. If anyone was up there, I was riding in the Blue Train for at least 7 rides in a row (I kept switching into empty cars). I know I saw one guy sit behind me in the last row with a Red ACE shirt on. That anyone from here?

O yea, Supers suck at running two trains on Eagle ;) *** Edited 4/4/2004 2:47:49 AM UTC by RCTyrant***

Aaawwww you beat me too it. The ride was terrific, I challenge any of you out there to ride it and tell me its not one of the fast and smoothiest woodies you have ever ridden. I know i know I am talking abotu SE here but its fanominal. I cnat beleive what the inhouse crew did. Shes back and shes better then ever.

IF thats what the inhouse crew can do to a 28 yr old ride I cant wait to see what the out side crew did to the Boss.

Also that Ace member doenst post but he does browse.

P.s did anyone else see the GM with the Moose horns.

Ok I guess everyone beat me to talking about the Spring Premier. First, RCTTyrant, curious to know who you are as well, I think you have my s/n, talk to me if you want. Yes I saw the Dave Roemer in the moose ears that was kinda funny the way he was acting too. It was fun tonight and Eagle was great, especially in the dark and it looked like the red train got a new paint job because it is all shiny. Friday is opening day and I am so excited. Everyone get out there!
Yea, our ride team for Screaming Eagle was cleaning down those PTC trains (they deserve to be clean, they are PTC for crying out loud!). We even broke out the "purple power" cleaning detergent! But yea, I still can't believe how awsome Eagle was running. Makes me proud to be running it, cause now I know that people will love the ride. Also from what I have heard, a lot of the rides will be pushing for two trains this year, I know my friend who works on Ninja said that they are trying to run Ninja with two trains (personally i have never seen the Ninja with two trains running). Also for note, a lot the park sections seemed to be getting new tar for the pathways. The whole Old Chicago section had that tarry smell to it.....

BTW, if any supers read what I said, I am just kidding ;)

Hmm.. SFSTL pushes for two train operation on most coasters? Maybe the entire chain is getting customer friendly now. ;) I can remember a few times seeing ninja run two trains but that was WAY back in the day when it was new and I was nothing more than a fascinated teenager. Maybe Mr Freeze will be running/dispatching two trains and turning some impressive numbers this year as well as the other coasters. It's good to hear these kinds of things not only from SF but from any chain. Good luck this season and may it be a fun one for all you ride ops. :)

I've been to SFStL three times, and there were two trains running on Ninja every time. Freeze was also using both stations the majority of the time. I thought SFStL had some of the best operations in the chain.

I dont know what u guys are talkign about. Ninja always seems to be running two trains. And i even saw it a few times run three trains last year. Which seems kinda pointless

Sound off how many of you will be there openign day/weekend? *** Edited 4/4/2004 11:13:27 PM UTC by Bossstl***

I will be, then I have to work the next day from 3pm-8:30pm..... Anyone else besides Box who finds me wins a prize! :)
Yeah Freeze was running 2 trains last year when I went. Ninja was running 3. Guess I got lucky or maybe it was because it was 4th of July weekend.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
I have worked on Freeze almost every year since it opened and it almost always has 2 trains running. Ninja most of the time is running 2 trains and on REALLY busy days it runs 3. Every section of the park gets resealed if it is needed that is why around opening week it smell like asphalt. RCTyrant I know who you are so I will see you this weekend. I was training with you and BOZ this past weekend and the one before also.
Who are you? Contact me on AIM or something (RCTyrant2005) so we can talk.... I already know who Boz is now....

Also about the trains. I have always gone to the park on Wendsdays or Tuesdays, and I personally have never seen Mr. Freeze run a two-train operation or Ninja running more than one-train. It must be because its on low capactiy days..... I dunno, its just something thats new for me.... *** Edited 4/5/2004 8:25:16 PM UTC by RCTyrant***
