SF St. Louis - Anything going on??

Looking at RCDB --
SFStL
- Boss (00)

SDC
- Wildfire* (01)
- Powder Keg (05)

CC
- Jack Rabbit* (03)
- Ozark Wildcat* (03)

WoF
- Boomerang (00)
- Spinning Dragons* (04)

Big Surf/Big Shot
- Tornado* (03)

I count 5 coasters since the Boss opened.
(6 if you count Boomerang)

I did not count Boomerang as could not remember if it opened before or after Boss in 2000. I said 4 plus 1 next year which equals 5. Not sure what you are getting at Swoosh, if that is your real name, but BACK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

typed sarcastically.

Well if you count the 2005 project for SDC then it is 6. Come on Jim, don't be so mean to mean me.

We need the old mine train (#2) brought back! or at least a replica of it. The side by side Mine Train layout was so unique, I hated to see it go back in 86/87.

My plans:
1. Paint the Frickin' Eagle already
2. Axe the Ninja - bye bye
3. Bring back the Mine Train #2
4. And Build us a Kickin' B&M Hyper-Floorless Combo (kinda like what they did with Alpengeist, a hyper-inverted) behind Hurricaine Harbor.

Make it so! *** Edited 4/15/2004 7:38:31 PM UTC by Steve Poelker***

Batman > Alpengeist.

Down is the new up.
Um, Alpengeist is an inverted. Inverted = Batman. Did you mean cool ride = Kraken?

Hmmm...Powder Keg. I like it!
For those who are interested.

Kraken, Medusa - I don't care... A B&M standing around 200 feet would look real nice running along the east side of the Park.
How could you axe the Ninja. Sure, it is a head banging experience, but think of the history. I think that it should be returned to the original colors and original name when it operated at the 1986 World's Fair (red/white, "Scream Machine"). I think it would be an awsome ride if Six Flags would opt to buy new rolling stock for the ride too. Vekoma has recently released new trains for their MK-1200 model coasters. The trains look very comfortable compared to the old style. They are also much more open (more similar to intamin trains). Another great idea would be to build a ride that weaved in and out of the Ninja and mine train structures. It worked really well for Grona Lund (Berg -och Dalbanan and Vilda Musen). In my honest opinion, what SFSL really needs right now is a tower ride. That would be a less expensive thrill ride to build, and the park needs one. It would fit perfectly up near Tidal Wave and draw more guests to that corner of the park. While they are at it, they may as well build a pathway connecting Axis Games to the Tidal Wave. Now I am just dreaming I guess. I believe that the park has a lot of potential right now, but it is still a few steps from achieving perfection.

Mr. Freeze Op 2005

If you're loyal to the Ninja, that's Cool... but I think it has ran its course here. I wouldn't be upset to see it go, especial if a B&M took its place (and a restored Mine Train of course ).
I like your thinking too, but we have a B&M. Why not make it an Intamin?

Mr. Freeze Op 2005

What about the inverted Dive Machine? ;)

What is with this Powder Keg nonsense? I don't follow you guys with your inside jokes and such. Try not to answer this with a bunch of gibberish that only 4 people understand.

Down is the new up.
Word,
not sure exactly which post you are referencing but guessing you mean the post where Swoosh posted the results of the his search where he turned up the name of Silver Dollar City's 2005 roller coaster and when the name was filed and such. Just a little cross post contamination from the SDC BuzzSaw Falls is being removed thread.
As for SFStL I still would rather the park rehab/retrack/restore the park's woodies than get a new coaster, but, that is just my opinion.

JW

Well I must say that I agree with the park needing to add a tower ride! Personally I would take a good size Intamin drop ride over a coaster right now!

And here is another thought. How about adding something new to your extremely sucessful waterpark!!! Something cool and big! Lets see when was it built. 1999. . .

If they remove Ninja I will cry because I love that Vekoma head bangin classic! Although I know they will eventually. But a change I would like to see above all others is PTC's on The Boss! But that is just a dream. (sigh)

O well at least we have a big flat ride now! YAY Excalibur!

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!
Word, sorry I was commenting on Moosh's post.

Jim, thanks for straighening that out for me.

Wildfire01, I agree that a tower ride would be great. There has always been a long stading rumor that they'll put one where Hannibarrels was.

Bossstl, did they get the new program running on Xcalibur?

CoasterMatt, I agree 100% with your suggestion of an Intamin. I would imagine that an Impulse might make its way to SFStL

Steve, maybe have a hyper run up behind S'Eagle on the hill. I think that would make the "backdrop" that much cooler looking from the road.

-SS

Yeah, sorry for being all mad in my last post. I blame Budwiser.

Anyways, I think anything six flags St. Louis gets will be a good addition. Intanim coasters are always a good choice.

Down is the new up.
Regarding a Hyper on the back hill... I can't see management deciding to drawf the Eagle with a Hyper's lift. It is my hunch that management would put a Hyper's Lift as far away from the Eagle so not to take away from it's longtime Crown. SFStL's unique skyline has always been the Eagle in the Background.

I'd have no beef with an Intimin, I just prefer B&M's. Smmmooooothhhh

I never thought about an Impulse, that would be so awesome if they put one in.

Or an Intamin 10-looper like Colossus, in about 25 years! (Dreams of Riding Colossus)

Not going to happen, like some of you know, I got to shadow the corperate engineer at SFSTL. When I first went into his office, I saw blueprints of the newly modifyed Intamin Impulses (with extra supports) and naturally, I asked him if that would be a new ride at SFSTL. He said it wasn't, he was looking over the plans to see how the Impulse at SFGA would be modified. So no Impulse....
