SF St. Louis - Anything going on??

For anyone interested, I am the guy in the red ACE shirt that RCTyrant was talking about. I am operating the mine train with Boz. Speaking of trains, I really hope River King Mine Train never operates three trains. That would be a real pain. Ninja will definately be running two trains this year since the third is still sitting near Post 10. Due to the rain today, it was a very easy day with a lot of empty trains dispatched. Woo hoo, Go "enjoy your ride!"
Yea, and the park closed early at 6:30.... I was down at waterstreet cab company giving the same 4 kids rides, they rode for a friggin hour straight :)

Ahh so you got assigned RKMT did ya. You know if there gonna patch the holes up in the tunnel?

So how did you like SE last saturday evening? ;)

FIRE!!!! at SFSTL today. Nothing major of course other wise I would have started a thread. Apparently some set a rather nice fire insdie the male restroom up by SE. Fire and what not authorities showed up on the scene, and BOSS, SE and I belive RKMT were closed temporailly.

I dont think RKMT was closed, but I may be wrong. Actually, I didnt hear about it. Some kid started a fire in the employee break area too during my lunch. It was a crazy day I guess. I dont know about the holes in the tunnel. Your guess is as good as mine. I would assume no repairs though. Do any of you guys know what ride they were talking about that had the problem Saturday with the train leaving while lap bars were still being checked. They yelled at everyone in the park about it, but they wouldnt tell us where it happened. And who is getting tired of hearing "We Like to Party"? Ha ha.

Oh, and Eagle rocked!

Yes, Eagle rocks. I can tell the guests already love it......

Yea, the "We Like to Party" song is starting to get a little annoying right now, but I like my "Sonar/Eagle Lift/ Midcourse beeping" tune better :)

I love the sig too Matt! I have managed to avoid the trains so far.... heh heh

What is so different about Eagle minus the retracking? I mean, is it that much smoother??? Also, did it get repainted during the offseason?

one more question. . . . . How is the Boss running, hopefully a lot better than it was at the end of last season. . . .

The number one reason you know you are an engineer: The world revolves around you because YOU chose the coordinate system.
The eagle is now a lot smoother in areas, plus for some reason I get insane airtime after the second-hill. There are still a few jolts on the coaster, such as the last turn into the brakes. Also the Boss is a lot smoother in some parts, still a little head-jarring in some spots, but definitly an improvement over last year.
Glad to hear SE and Boss got some TLC over the winter. I'd like to know if the Eagle got its long overdue paint job???
No paint yet. In fact, you can even see the bare wood sections of track where the retracking was done. To my knowledge, I do not think any of the coasters got paint. I know that Ninja is turning red again. I believe that the painting crew was busy getting the rest of the park ready to go for the season. I am not positive, but I was told that outside contractors were even brought in the finish up some last minute details. Eagles cars were painted though, and they look good.

So, I guess no one knows or wants to disclose which ride had the problems Saturday.

No paint! that really bums me out. It such an excellent coaster it needs to be kept up. Oh well, here's hoping for next year.

Steve? You still alive, I thought the man that started this thread had gone the way of the Doe Doe Bird.

So the real question is, whats in store for 2005? I am JK, please noone answer that yet. Its much to early for that sort of thing.

Too early for rumors? Nahhh...
Bossstl,
I mostly lurk around and read up on rumors and things. I didn't have season passes last year and went only once to our beloved home park in 2003. ...Thusly, I didn't have much to say. I'm glad to see this thread has become sorta the unofficial St Louis thread.

Steve

That really sucks nothing got painted. It would have been nice to have a different color besides black on the right side of the park...
shouldn't this be turned into its own forum like the DDR thread?;)

Sorry, just finally had to succomb to pressure and post in this thread.

LOL Clint...I was just wondering if this isn't one of the longest threads ever on CBuzz?
Its long, but i doubt its the longest. Although it might be one of the longest running *** Edited 4/14/2004 11:12:57 PM UTC by SFSL***

Track Record: 51 Coasters... ...for a total of 155,137 feet of track
Hey, all the other long ones either are closed, or got their own forums! Jeff, are you listening?
Trying to get this thread sorta back on track;)
Since SFStL's last coaster the other parks in Missouri have added four new coasters with at least one more coming next year. Come on SF go a little further in debt and add a coaster to SFStL.
