Don't say that to me Joe. ;)

I know you appreciate good wood, and although I haven't been to the Dells in a few years, I still think it was one of the fastest coasters I've ever ridden excluding some metal, and BoulderDash's run home. ;)

BD's speeds would make many steel coasters blush...

It is not going to be taller than 420 feet, becuase then they would have said that they are building the tallest coaster in the world, not just the midwest, so apparently, Ohio is not in the midwest.

And who around here actually thought that Big Chief was building a 420+ foot wooden coaster?

Thrillerman,

Hahah I just wanted to see what the end of your sentence was going to be. I actually think Zeus is a pretty fast coaster throughout, just because of the out and back nature of it. Not many turns to slow things down, you know.

Joe, who doesn't think he'll make it to the Dells this year unless the Timber Falls woodie gets rave reviews

If you want me to finish the sentence I will. Now I'm gonna quote here, ahem "...this baby's gonna scream!!"

Clearly the claim was meant to be "the tallest wooden coaster in the midwest" (although that still, IMO, excludes Ohio).

Many years ago it was common for parks to over exaggerate the stats of their coasters. Boy it's a good thing none of us were around then!! Oh the humanity....

There's a difference between overexaggerating and outright lying.

Agreed Joe. It was a different world back in the early years of the industry. I just thought it was kinda funny when I actually realized how some of us would of taken a hammer to em' though.

You know...come to think of it...hammers aren't such a bad thing though. Look what you can build with one.:)
