Michigan's Adventure construction?

Thunderbolt has been doomed since June of last year when they castrated it's backwards mode.

The Falling Star is actually a pretty good example of the genre, and is the best Falling Star I've been on. (They also have the best Yo-Yo)

That said, it apparently has a somewhat tricky main axle.

What! They're taking out the Falling Star! This can't be allowed! The falling star is a favorite of my family. I'm surprised they're taking it out. It was only put in in 1990(or was it 91). I for one will be sad to see it go. I was disappointed Sunday when it was closed. We ride it every time we go.

As for the Thundrbolt, good riddance. It's slow and no fun.

But the Falling Star is my favorite flat EVER, please don't get rid of it!

I'm not that attached to Falling Star or Thunderbolt, although Falling Star was one of the best I've been on. Even freaked me out a bit.

Now....what would fit nicely into that space?

Not the Falling Star!

At least tell me they will keep it operating for the rest of the season. Ever since VF's model went castrato in '99, I've needed a good fix.

It wasn't operating this weekend. It has to be something far removed because in between the TBolt and the Falling Star is the Pizza Place and the Flying Trapeze. The Pizza place has the only bathrooms on that end of the park.

For them to drop 2 flats in 1 year hints to the fact that they will have to have something pretty cool to replace those 2. I hope they do add some cool flats to replace those.

According to the Dippin Dots guy Cedar Fair sold the Falling Star and Thunderbolt to SFAW...that's going to be the park's new attractions for 2003 ;-)

The lemon chill girl seems to agree. The train operator agrees too. I think the lemon chill girl is related to the lemon chill guy at Cedar Point so we definately have some concrete info.

But Cedar Fair parks don't even sell Lemon Chills

CoastaPlaya, while Northern Lights has lost its mojo over the last three years, that has more to do with it blowing itself out instead of Valleyfair taming it down. Stupid Chance rides...

Chance rides are still pretty good, but why the Falling Star? It's a good ride. The Thunderbolt is a piece of poopy, though.

Would't the Flling Star site look good for a Meteor-like-ride?

Falling star was good, but thunderbolt sucked. they should just take out trabant, that ride sucked too. falling star was great though.

You know, I was hoping for a tower ride between Sea Dragon and Corkscrew last year...seemed to be the perfect spot for it. That would be a perfect thrill ride to add to MiA.

A Huss Frisbee would look just lovely in the falling star spot and a S&S 3-Tower combo would look great some where in the lake. (And please put a path behinde Wolverine Wildcat!)

A huge hole with possible electric hook ups to it. HMMMM. It may be a drop ride. INTAMIN Gyro-drop 300 feet. Just a thought.
