Michigan's Adventure construction?

I was at MIA on the 16th, and while I was in the waterpark I noticed some construction going on on the otherside of the lake thingy.

They had diggers over there and a big hole w/ piles of dirt around it.

While waiting for the Log Flume I noticed some "surveyors" walking by towards ST w/ some "plans"? I'm not sure if they were exactly plans but they were big rolled up posters and the guys were dressed up nicely.

Anybody know if this has anything to do with.......anything?

I noticed that after leaving the park last weekend there were some heavy trucks doing things down the road. The lot was ajacent or part of MIA property. I thought I saw some drainage tile or something.

I believe that MIA will eventually build entirely around the lake though.

I saw them installing drainage pipes all along that area when I was there sunday, I would think by now they all would be underground. ;)

I'll bet they are doing some underground electrical lines as well. That park should be ready to stay open until 10 starting next season!

I noticed the "contruction" or waht ever you want to call it also.

Perhaps it's the 215' hyper or mabey something to do with a new flat ride!

I wouldn't mind seeing the hyper coaster pop up soon but who knows what it is. It could be a ride or it could be the electrical lines that was brought up. We'll find out eventually, but until then we have to wait.

There are a ton of trees tagged either for removal or relocation. You will see them when you ride the shortest train ride in the world. The good trees appear tagged. What's nice is unlike Cedar Point we will be able to get very good views of exactly what is going on throughout the winter because of the way the property is. Nothing is burried too deep to see.
Unless they build huge walls! :)

My guess -- and this is only a guess -- is that CF's plan for the park is three-fold:

1] continue the walkway behind Wolverine from Timbers to the shoot-the-chutes.

2] open a Camp Snoopy inside the perimeter of the new train ride.

3] build a new coaster, a flat or two, a restaurant, and a bathroom in the new area behind Wolverine.

At least that's what *I* would do, but I don't know a thing about how to operate a park ;-)

It's the 400' tall 27 inversion hyper-looper with underwater section. If this goes well they'll build the long rumored under lake Erie and under the peninsula coaster at Ceder Point. This coaster has the added benefit of shoring up the Magnum, preventing futher sinking.

I noticed this work too last week. It seemed to be following the perimeter of the property. It was large maybe 10 inch pipe for water or sewer or just drainage. Since it was along the back side of the property I would say it is for future expansion not for a specific ride.

Those would I believe be sewage lines going in to the back of the park. Now...I wonder why the park would want to install something like that back there...hmmm...

As for the rest...I'll let Kara elaborate on some things if she thinks they need to be. Otherwise I would have to say Mamoosh is on the right path so to speak. ;)

Kara is in CA...we may have to wait for her to get back to find out. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see lights by next year.

Maybe they'll be gettin that hyper we're all waiting for.
Am I the only one who noticed footers over there? I'll have pics up soon. ;)

She'll be back tomorrow...and then she's off to a week of midwest coaster travels. I believe she's going to try and get to the park tomorrow before she goes out. We were looking over things out there before she left...
