What's the scariest ride you've ever been on?

Felt like conducting my own little straw poll :) What does everyone think is the scariest ride in the world? My vote goes with Oblivion at Alton Towers (hence the name) :p Has anybody ever looked at a coaster/ride and backed down at the last minute? Does anybody have any good stories of innocent looking rides that have concealed a punch far greater than their appearence suggested?

For me it was X without a doubt. I was comfortably sitting back looking at the park waiting to fall over the lift. The train starts to move faster then BAM you are racing straight down towards the ground. I can't tell you what a relief it was to be inverted upright and knowing I had made it past the first drop.

probably MF. I've heard that the Ripcords are pretty freaky but I haven't gotten around to doing one yet.

X, without a doubt. I backed out of riding Magnum when i was 8, so i guess that would count. But X is just the scariest experience ever, my arms and legs were shaking, which was either from anticipation or the 40* weather.

For me, it was Xcelerator! I wasn't scared at all waiting in line, but the launch is so fast that it's FREAKY!!! Going over the top hat was pretty scary too cause you feel like you could just fly out and plummet to your death. I was hanging on for dear life.

Also, my first time on S: TE, i was pretty scared. Don't ask me why, all you do is go up and come down, but 415ft in the air??? I got pretty scared to where I was shaking and I almost backed out.

The scariest ride I have ever been on is Deja Vu. Just going up the first Vertical spike is scary.

Looking at X, when i first drove up and saw it testing, it took an hour to roll my tounge back up. Then i was so scared getting in, i stapled my self and could barly breathe. But now its good!

CC1, the front-row ride on Hypersonic certainly was a scary moment (eternity) waiting to drop down the far side of the tower....it ranked right up there, esp. considering I kept the lapbar a little on the loose side - "nothing wrong with a little airtime"....;).....

Nice to see some other Beck fans out there....Beck Hanson, no relation to the other Hanson, thankfully....:)

Definitely PKI's Eiffel Tower for me. Heights without the individual restraints scare me more than anything else at parks.

No coasters really scare me, but thrill rides REALLY scare me sometimes. Drop Zone/Drop Tower rides scare me to no end, and skycoasters are pretty frightening as well. I am just thankful that my friends finally got me on Drop Zone, because I loved it.

Skycoasters all the way. I was scared to death the first time in Kobe, Japan, but the one at Valleyfair put me over the top. I don't know how Mamoosh could even verbally commit to riding the one at Kissimmee:)

I think Skycoasters are the scariest to me not, I still haven't ridden one. Power Tower still scares the crap out of me.
