Well, I missed this thread the first time around so here goes...

American Eagle was my first wood coaster in 1981, the year it opened. That very same day, I rode my first steel coaster, the Whizzer. It took me another year to work up the courage to ride a looper and Demon was my first followed the same day by Tidal Wave.

In 2 Days My 100th Coaster will be HyperSonic XLC

Mine was TOrnado at Adventureland Des Moines. I was scared out of my mind, but I ended up riding it 5 more times. Now, I would kill to be stuck at the top of Millenium Force or Apollo's Chariot.

Mine was probably the Swamp Fox at Myrtle Beach, since my family and I went there almost every summer when I was a kid. I also remember their Corkscrew being my first steel.
The Big and Little Dippers at Camden Park here in WV were right around there too, but I still think the Swamp Fox was the first. I was probably about 8 years old the first time, and it's still standing and still a very nice woody, although I haven't been to Myrtle Beach in 12 years. lol.

My first coaster was Thunderbolt at Sfne ( then it was riverside park ). I was 8 years old. I was terrified then. And now 6 years later I'll ride anything!

And MikeMir87, I know what your talking about. Yankee Cannonball rocks! No one ever talks about it. It i so Underated.

My first coaster was the comet at crystal beach amusement park in canad***

Hmmm...lessee....besides the small little kids coasters at the local fairs...

My first major ride I remember was Space Mountain at Disneyland. I was 5 years old and I remember second guessing it as we passed the last "chicken exit". My mom said " we're going especially after we have waited for an hour!"

End of story it was pretty fun albeit a little terrifying. That trip was also my first time on the Matterhorn and Big Thunder, but Space is the only ride I really remember.

My first looping coaster was Boomerang at Knott's when I was 7. First solo ride on a coaster was Viper at SFMM when I was 9.

Big Bad Wolf, I was 6, I did not know about g-forces or any of that stuff. I thought you just go in a train and go fast. I came off the coaster in shock, and did not ride another coaster till I was 10.
