Well not to rain on the parade, but there will be NO new coaster next year at WOF per mgmt. The big thing next year will be some new warehouses and then another flat ride. However there will be no new coaster next year, and this is coming from the higher ups.
Sorry

Well "Swoosh" you have now posted this on at least two message boards. (I haven't looked on ACN or URC yet) I am curious, why do you not use the same name on both? (hint:email) Also...although I would like to believe you, I am concerned that someone who was privy to the real information would be so openly spreading it around everwhere.
Those in the know typically do not spread the info to as many people as possible.
Just some food for thought.

I thought there was an every other year type thing with CF. Last year the few managers I ran into told me next year for the coaster. If they don't give us a new one then they suck.
If they do then I think they should use the old python plunge area as well as the old west town area that the train goes into back behind the old PP area. An inverted flying through the woods would be pretty cool. They could also make use of the area behind the fury of the nile and make use of the small lake in oceans of fun. A top gun clone would work for me.
The area in front of the park is huge and should be used for something huge.

I'm curious about this "other board" considering that this is the only board that I post on besides the one at TPO.org. Also since I barely said anything on the fact, I wouldn't consider that "spreading info". Saying exactly what and when would be different.

Swoosh, where are you getting your information? Who are your sources? You seem to know everything, I'd like to see some sources cited. I'm just curious.
Now is that very fair to either me or my sources? Considering that WOF had a huge thing here at the start of the season where they threatened A LOT of employees to find out who is leaking information. I don't want to put myself and/or them in that position.

I hate to bring this up again but I've searched high and low at WOF and the only place that I've seen walls up is around the old aquarium/diving show area (which I think would be perfect for a drop ride). Am I on to something here?
I am totally impressed with the amount of little things they've done this year and I hope this new warehouse you speak of will be used to house better food.
I'm also still upset over the idea of another year without an inverted.

Yes you are onto something, but still quite aways off.
I will have to echo your comments about the "little" things that are being taken care of around the park. Phil Bender has so far done an excellent job as the park's GM, so much better than Daniel Keller (who we sent to Cedar Point, poor guys). Bender seems to have an eye for detail and doesn't fret so profusely about bottom line before he make any moves. Sure he is concerned about ROI, but that's not the only thing. Now if the park would take some pointers from Holiday World (free parking, soda, water park, tube rentals, and woodies) then we would have a world class park on our hands.
(However it's not confirmed yet and things do change, but that is what I have heard as of right now - whenever I can get more info or if things CHANGE, I will let you know, somehow)

Will they be waiting until Oct/Nov to confirm or is that when we can expect an announcement? Either way It's a great area for a new ride.
I guess I'm going to have to try and look down in that area from the ferris wheel.
Why did you highlight the letters f,r,i,s,s,b,e,e?
Actually I didn't realize I had highlighted two "S", omit one and it will make more sense. Like I said before though, things do change and this is not confirmed yet. However it is the most prominent bit going around right now. It was no secret that this was the other ride that WOF was looking at when they decided to get the topspin.

Even though I don't know what a frisbee is I would like to thank you for the info (even though it's not set in stone) and with all of the "little" improvements they are making I guess I can live with another flat ride. I just hope they improve the food sometime in the near future.
I also hope that a frisbee isn't some kind of spinning ride. I hate spinning.
