Does this mean parts from certain suppliers are being reject by the gravity group guys and have to remade causing the delay??
It could, but it could also be a lot of other factors. These are the first full length trains they are building for actual use, so I'm sure there are some things they are learning along the way.
Wow, surprised this isn't being talked about yet. The first Timberliner is on track and testing.

Paula said the target date was Saturday the 14th. Hopefully we'll get an update sometime in the next few days as to how the trains are performing.
I think that 5/14 was the first target date. After that was announced there was another delay.

Doh. I just went back and read the thread again and you are correct. Oh well, I can still hope for this weekend, right?
Wish in one hand and crap in the other. See which one fills up faster.

Remind me not to shake your hand if we ever meet Dave. :)
It's been confirmed on facebook that there will be no Timberliners this weekend. However, they are definitely doing full circuit testing at this point.
Well Wildebeest media day was yesterday, along with National Geographic being there to shoot a show. I assume testing is happening, they are just super busy at the moment.
TGG posted this on their Facebook today:
Timberliner testing is in full swing. The wood coaster maintenance team Holiday World & Splashin' Safari has been great to work with.
It has been reported on another coaster site that during late night testing a bag of corn got loose in the restraints which caused minor damage to some of the train fiberglass. Doesn't sound like it will be a delay of any kind, just a nuisance to replace before using the new trains.
They're ballasting the train with bags of corn?
Why would they do that? That park is in Indiana. Don't they know that there's more than corn........
Oh. Never mind. :)

Timberliners won't be taking riders this week or next (including the holiday weekend). We're working hard to get the testing successfully completed; as I'm sure you realize, a brand new design requires extra time/attention--it would be foolish to rush it. We're so sorry to disappoint--we'll keep you posted as testing progresses. Meanwhile, Voyage is open, just not w/ new trains. Thanks for understanding.
