Thanks Rss, track down that nephew! HERE is a clickable link, again, not active until at least 6am. You'll get nothing but a not found message until then.

Also, the Picasa site added 8 pictures dated the 15th and one dated the 16th. Click HERE for those.

We really need a drool emoticon here, lol.
This video was taken less than two hours from the post time. Sorry it is so shaky, it was cold out there. Enjoy! *** Edited 1/17/2008 10:44:28 AM UTC by CoasterZack18*** *** Edited 1/17/2008 11:26:20 AM UTC by CoasterZack18***

Zack

Thanks Zack and tggrr. So, not much else to do at 3am on a brisk January morning in Erie except film a coaster bridge being built? ;)

The curvature of the span says AIRTIME! Maybe this will spawn a new trend for all those old iron bridges.Betcha have one in mind right now don't you?

Now you will never look at one the same again!

Wow, that's quite an impressive structure.
North bridge went up Monday night at about midnight here is video. It is more stable this time. ( I remembered the tri-pod) *** Edited 1/23/2008 1:47:27 AM UTC by CoasterZack18***

The guy who walked across and you followed looked funny, because it was sped up. It made me giggle.
He was going over to try and fix the one light. It went out right before they got the bridge up in the air, so they did not have full lighting. I had my car over there, I should have turned my headlights on for them.

Zack

Thanks Zack, great stuff. I can just hear those workers now. "Build a bridge for a coaster? Sounds like fun. Wait, I have to sit on a steel beam in the middle of the night in January next to Lake Erie when it's 8 degrees outside? GREAT!! Where do I sign up??!!"

LOL, and some people thought I was a little off for going to Knoebels on 12/31/06 for pictures. Heck, at least I went during DAYLIGHT! ;)

Again, thanks Zack,

Tom

edited to remove a question that was answered, should have read the whole thread first!

HERE is where you will find 7 new pictures of the RFII posted sometime in the last couple of days. 6 are dated the 18th and 1 is dated the 21st.

I really like the picture with the parallel track showing the extreme banking. The drop coming out of the 90 is going to catch lots of people by surprise. Almost like The Raven's famous drop but this time it looks like you'll be banked through most of it.
I took some new pictures today. Note the bridge, the footpath and railings have been added.

Zack

Great stuff again Zack, snow and all!

HERE is a link to some pictures taken by Ken Jones on the 16th. He was an employee at Conneaut Lake and is looking to get into the industry. He and a few others met several people up at Waldameer and received a tour of the site. There are 77 pictures in all including some of a new Waldameer brochure.

The main RFII site added 5 new shots yesterday including the completed bridge and close up shots of the 90 degree bank. Find them HERE.

Is it me, or does it look like the structure is going to be way too close to the train in the 90-degree banked area?

Considering it's not the first time Gravity Group has done 90* banking I'm betting it's you...or the angle at which the picture was taken ;)
