Gator, I think he was referring to the Kanye / FittyCent debacle :-)
Debacle is a word well-chosen, hehe. Sounds like the "contest" was over before it started...
The only thing worse than putting your foot in your mouth is when it happens to be a square-toed, turd-kicking boot...

If dominator moves, than I have no reason(except for maybe big dipper) to return to the park.I do however think that thunderhawk would be a great fit for michigans adventure.
By the way...any update on the condition of raging wolf bobs?
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
"Don't miss the fun of Oktoberfest Sept. 14-16 It's your last chance to ride your favorite coasters this year too!"
I'm confident they are being quite serious actually! lol =oD
First off...I'm afraid my Vols are in for a tough weekend...and I'm still shaking off my Cal experience (Santa Cruz on Sunday made it a little more tolerable). Second off...Kanye has the better single and album in my opinion...have not heard Chesney's yet...but would not be shocked if he catches at least one of the rappers after the initial hype dies down. Thirdly...I was always under the impression it was "Fitty" not "Fiddy."
War Kanye...
War Vols in a shootout with a little help from the football Gods...
War Geagua Lake returning to a quiet picnic park with a bit of charm...
Thirdly...I was always under the impression it was "Fitty" not "Fiddy."
Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
While A Yahoo search for 'Fiddy' will yield news items on a particular artist, 'Fitty' will yield you a web site for a fly fishing spot in Scotland.
Open mouth, insert foot. You know the routine!
But here's hoping your college football picks were a 'liddle' better informed *snork*

I says THIS year. That is the end of THIS year. It closes for the year. It's not open in October. That's doesn't prove anything. *** Edited 9/14/2007 1:25:56 PM UTC by Spinout***
According to the "Urban Dictionary" which is the #3 link on that Google Search you gave for "Fitty" above...we get the following definitions.
Fiddy:
Pronounciation of fifty if you have been shot nine times (once in the mouth!) All the girls are like fiddy, your so priddy, on my **** like i ghost-write for p diddy
1. Slang for the number "fifty". Usually associated with a speech impediment or accdent.

As we can now clearly see..."Fiddy" is the moron version of "Fitty." :)

As for GL...I'd be really sad to see it go. it was the first Amusement park I ever went to, and I grew up with the park. Double-Loop was my first coaster ever, so the park has a lot of nostalgia for me. If Dominator and Thunderhawk do leave, next year may be my last visit to the park.
I hope someone takes out Florida. They can't run the Table, I and Ohio state won't allow it.
And Back on Coasters, i'm sad to say this, but I think my riding is over, now that classes are starting. But it's great that my last coaster was X-Flight(firehawk for everyone else). Fun Fun.
but i'd love to get up there to ride Batman tonight at Geauga, but I don't think I'm gonna drive 2 hours tonight.

I'll never get the 30 minutes of my life back...but I now understand that there is the intelligent aka for 50 cent and the unintelligent version. I've forgotten which is which!
Hurray for heading way off topic, heh
You've had 13 pages on this thread...and countless other threads to voice displeasure with GL. Can we have a few moments to discuss the proper alias for 50 cent? :)

Debacle? Pfft.
This was a well-planned sales blitz - the bravado, the photo shoots, the hoopla. Pure shobiz!
These guys played the media and laughed all the way to the bank.
(and for the record, I must be a moron because it's "fiddy" not "fitty" :) )
If not for the urban dictionary, I would have never known that some of you were using this new slang…and that such gibberish was actually frowned upon by those of us practicing classical ebonics. I just knew “fiddy” did not look right. :)
I've known ya pimpz uh long tyme, therefore I promise not ta diss ya too harshly fo' yo' whack language skills.

Well then all the GL fanboys better get in as many rides as possible before Dominator heads east to KD's parking lot.

This is not your mom and pop's ebonics. Like every known language...regionalized dialect has evolved. It is apparent that some of you indeed are using the “moron” version of ebonics for which “fiddy” is acceptable.
I think all versions of ebonics are moronic, just as I think redneck dialect is moronic. I'm not one to promote the spread of the Queen's English or anything like that but ebonics and redneck don't solidy one's connection to their roots, they just make one sound ignorant. Having an accent is one thing but talking in close to something that's a different language is just silly.
I'm sure what we call "proper" english would be snubbed by those who lived in the times of "Olde English"
Perspective, I guess. :)
