(b) They will not gain any space by removing Thunderhawk and Dominator because they are are built over the marshy edge of the lake.
Now they're gone
You ask us why?
ROI!

Build more rides?
Can't justify

That alibi
Can't satisfy
The local guys
Who post and cry
But should they try
Making numbers fly
They'd come up shy
The park would fry
and you know why?
Cuz they cain't get no.

Is there a tune this goes with or is it more of a chant type thing?
Listen, you. I just got back in town late last night. I'm trying to clean up my desk on about 4 hours of sleep.
That's ALL the CPlaya brilliance you get today.
Maybe even this week. Enjoy the moment. Don't ruin it going all thinky-thinky, dammit!

The investment was the property.
That's what I'm having trouble with when ROI finds its way into this particular conversation.
Cedar Fair isn't going to get any return on any coaster investment at Geauga Lake because they didn't invest in any coasters there. It's not like Cedar Fair paid for those coasters separately- they bought the park in its entirety and that means land, assets and everything else gets rolled into one. When the park was sold to CF, there was no coaster investment left to return because the coasters pertained to Six Flags, not CF.

(apologies to Bernie Taupin; maybe you can figure it out...)
When is it gonna come down?
Will it be moving to land?
Will it be moved to the Farm?
Is it going to Michigan?
You know they can't hold out forever
On the Internet it must be true
It's not gonna stay on the Geauga swampland
This coaster that's painted in yellow and blue
So goodbye yellow track ride
On the shores of Geauga Lake
In the wetlands beside Raging Wolf Bobs
It's taking its leave of the swamp
Going to some other Cedar Fair park
Leaving Geauga Lake's side
Oh the suits have decided the park survives
Without the yellow-tracked ride
What do you think we'll ride then?
You know we will all complain
It takes more than a couple of waterpark add-ons
To bring them in the gates again
Or maybe they'll get a replacement
There's plenty of rides to go 'round
Coasters, and flat-rides and wet stuff
Vying for patrons and lines on the grounds
So goodbye yellow track ride
On the shores of Geauga Lake
In the wetlands beside Raging Wolf Bobs
No longer will it Dominate
Going to some other Cedar Fair park
Leaving Geauga Lake's side
Oh the suits have decided the park survives
Without the yellow-tracked ride

While that may be true they'll get an ROI on relocating the rides to parks that actually have the attendance base to justify the expense of relocation.
Look what moving XF did for KI,the ride was well recieved down there despite the fact that it was a used attraction that many people might've recognized as having once been at GL.Now you take rides that have never been seen before in their respective markets<MIA & KD> & the public will have no idea that the rides came from another park when they open next season.
