When launching at such high speeds, like lets say 110!¡! Wouldnt that not only take a toll on your body but when the cart is launched with leaning forward( I know why would anyone do that but theres always someone that will) couldnt that cause major damage to your neck ad possibly give you whip lash!¡!-----------------
Well of course there are those people who will and those people are not following the rules either. Almost all coasters have signs up telling you to keep your head against the head rest. Of course, any ride with that kind of speed has a chance of giving you wiplash but if you follow the rules posted, it won't happen.....

Maybe it'll be called; Ejector: The Ride. :)
Seriously, ejector seats as found on fighter planes do several things to prevent whiplash. Pilots slip on a network of fabric loops over their arms & legs that are part of their suit or separate (not sure.) Their helmets are connected to a loop as well.
Should the eject lever be pulled, first all limbs are drawn tight against the body - arms crossed & helmet against headrest by explosive charges. Then the seat is ejected. All of this happens in milliseconds.
I'm not sure how many G's they pull, wouldn't be surprised if it's in excess of 30G's! The survivors often suffer from back injuries sustained during ejection.
I've often imagined high speed launch coasters with head restrains that wrap around the forehead! I doubt this'll happen. However if the top speed is 120mph, 3 seconds is a safe time to prevent injuries.
Problems with goin' to 110?

Hey,
I think the 452 on the packing slip is for the number of coaster that it is intamin built. b/c Millenium Force had 411 on it. So this will be intamin's 452nd coaster not 452 feet tall.
Intamin has not created 452 coasters... especially considering there are around 1500 (more or less) in the world...
EDIT: Slight grammatical error

I love Deja Valley. And Stunt Stall too!
66 coasters but countless people movers, towers, flats etec etc.
T-452 is just a project number. I work at a factory and make seats for Honda's and just because there part number may be H-856 or H-421 doesn't mean a thing as far what its for. It's just the project number for that particular piece of the seat.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

Getting back to the name....
Do you think that it will be called "T-452 DRAGSTER"?
I wonder if the T minus 452 has anything to do with the height of the tophat?

BTW, since this is still open with it being a News Item, can you reopen the Carowinds thread about the new section? I wasn't done responding yet. Thanks.

No.
It's almost certainly simply a production name. Sometimes enthusiasts, in all the excitment, look for answers where there are none - this is one of those cases. I doubt it is a reference to either size or proposed name.

Dorney Park visits in 2002: 16
Just when I thought it was OK to to skip a year at CP, now my trip schedule for next year is going to be all screwed up.
This is exciting news though and I am already looking forward to my trip.
This did get me wondering about transporting a RC, does the entire thing arrive via flat bed or do they use barges when they can? It seems as if some RC parts are way to big for the road.
