Topping off at CP!

I think there will be a support going up further attaching to the track at the highest point of the ride. That peice they have they doesn't look like it would be the top most support.

Well how tall is it now, and subtract that from 425 ft. or whatever the height is going to be.

Ok, look at the cam again all you disbeliever.... they have a vertical spike support, and there is a piece of track on ity. Hullo!!!! Who cares about vertical track.. when they place the top, they place the top if it sis vertioca track or whatever, adn far as the tower, who know... the will all pyramid off at the track I think... wait and see
Uh, CozterNut, that is the mounting plate at the top of the spike...it is not track...and on a side note, that is one of the worst posts for grammar, spelling and readability that I have seen in a while...

It's an optical illusion. Look at the side perspective of the ride. The track is no where near the top of that tower yet. The piece you're mistaking for the track is the diagnal supports of the tower. Notice the sharp angle.
Yeah it isn't close at all. This topic is very deceiving. I'm disappointed. Don't start a topic like this unless you've looked at all the pictures.

Looking from the back perspective, that tallest support really looks like it's made to have track above it, and also looks to be in the middle of the tower. And although the 3 points of the tower have not yet merged at that point, it sure looks like they are going that way. It also looks like this will be the tallest point of the ride, save for the thickness of the track that will be on top of it.

Each section is between 50 and 60 feet tall. Saying 50 feet and 8 sections and you get 400 feet.

The funky top piece is probably at least 10 feet tall.

The track is close to 4 feet tall.

That is roughly looking at 414 feet tall. Those are all conservative estimates.

Seems to me that we are looking at 420 feet exactly.

It does look like the tower is almost complete, but it is not at the ride's final height. If you look to see how much the track on the descent side has twisted, you can see that it's not done twisting, let alone ready to start levelling off, which indicates to me that the track still has some climbing to do.-----------------

I do believe PKI does have something else to announce.Craig Ross(GM) was quoted in the Nov. AT saying " There is something new for everyone in2003...and we are not finished announcing new attractions yet."
There is definitely something else at PKI as alluded to by Jeff Seibert closing day at the park.

Stop Saying Hullo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it is not considered topping off until the track is in place because you very rarely have supports as the tallest part of the ride on non-inverted coasters. The track is the tallest part except for maybe the thing that measures the wind speed and a lightning rod (have no clue what the right term is).

Edit; Major stupidity on my part. I left most of it up there so everyone can laugh at me.

Is that the correct term for it??? (sounding more and more stupid with every letter I type). Give me a break! It's Monday!!! j/k

I am not sure if all of them are used for lightning rods. I am pretty sure some measure wind speed.

The tallest point on this coaster will be a lightning rod.

One thing I am sure of about "dragster".

The middle cam does prove that all the ride will be is a launch top hat and brakes, because you can see from the cam a set of footers that will connect the brake side to the launch side.

That same cam is probably also showing a part of the station confuiguration.
