It isn't so bad. . .
Once you're used to it
"Dragster" does not look 400 feet high even though my view shows it behind Millennium Force's lift hill. If MF is only 310, "Dragster" would have been much, much higher than it is. My guess is that it's at least 330 feet, which would still be a world record.
I did take my DV camera today to snap a few shots. Upon returning home and studying the track off the top of the tophat, it looks like the track twists inward towards the tower, thus creating a full twist ala Wicked Twister, not the twist you find on Xcellerator. Of course I could be imagining things.
I have ridden S:TE and while it is quite an imposing ride, I wasn't overly thrilled with it. I'm hoping that "Dragster" will be the opposite, even if it is rather short.

X Factor, it's confirmed that it's over 400. You have to remember that 16 is far past MF, making it look much shorter. Heck if you compare it to Magnum (which it is closer to), it looks 500!-----------------

Magums lift runs perpendicular to the new coaster. Meaning the top of the hill is actually farther away then the base. I'd say, taking that into account, it looks to me right around 400ft. Maybe more. IMO. The top of Maggie is the same distance away from the top of Millie to the "dragster." (I hate that name)
Read my trip report. ANYTHING slightly higher than XLR8R at Knott's will require nothing short of reconstructive surgery at the exit. This ride will scare the you-know-what out of even the most jaded enthusiast. I'll tell you what. 200' straight-up ain't nothing to laugh at. Just look at my profile picture when it's approved.
This thing'll be well worth an airline ticket. I can't believe that I'll even have the priveledge of riding it. I'm soooo glad it's on the North Americal continent! See all y'alls next spring!
1 trick pony?! One hell of a trick I must say!!

janfrederick - hell yeah, that is exactly how I feel.
I think there are still a few people that haven't really realized how crazy this is going to be. I've said it since the begining, this is going to be the most insane ride ever.
I am so damn gald that I live only an hour away.
Hell this might sound crazy, but I'm glad that I only live 7-8 hours from Cedar Point. I'm just glad I don't have destroy my bank account by flying to Japan to experience an "over" 100 mph launch.
I have a feeling that whenever I ride this thing, Hypersonic is going to quickly lose 1st place as "the Most Intense Coaster I've ridden".
Anybody, who lives near CP, who is not a little excited about this thing needs to realize that when this thing opens, some of these people might have second thoughts about getting on it : ) Remember I said, "some people".

Just imagine the Cedar Point announcement, "420 feet high at more than 100 mph straight up and straight down with a twist!". "Nah uh, really?" : ) I'm much more patient when I can see exactly what they are building.
