Topping off at CP!

His point is valid....just compare MF 2nd hill and Maggie to his scale. It shows that they (and 16) are much taller than they would appear in relation to MF.

Why are you comparing it to MF? Comparing to the side view of PT is much more accurate.

Don't think I have to say anything about that...

If they don't win the fight with height over S:TE, at least they can say they have the tallest full-circuit coaster.
That's the one!

It is a good 400 feet guys. None of you marked photos have a good scale that shows perspective.

It looks absolutely stunning. I wonder if some of the hardcore moaners and bashers of the ride from day one have changed their mind, even slightly?

It IS mildly amusing to me, however, that CP has gone for the 1-trick pony approach, when a couple of years ago, some of the extreme fanboys were SO sure CP would not 'stoop so low' as to do such a thing - that was just 'a SF thing' to do and was one of many reasons why CP was 'far superior'.

For me, i think 1-trick ponies can be great, stunning, innovative rides. They are usually have extreme proportions, push the boundaries and often break records, and therefore often make me respect the park that has installed one.

How anyone could not be excited having seen some of the pictures above i don't know. My reaction on first seeing some of those photos was; 'holy $hit'. Also, i think the colour scheme and how it looks generally is pretty good. It doesn't look 400ft in some of the photos but in others it does. Blatently it is though.

You got it, Mr. Rush. For every ride in CPs recent history there have been large choruses of whiners. But, many quiet down after they ride it. (MF was blasted right and left after it was announced)

I don't believe it till I see it. Okay I know it's physically there, but just comparing it to Raptor and Power Tower in the pictures posted Bryan it looks absolutly crazy. It's gonna be so weird perspective wise going through those gates next summer. But hey, change is always a good thing.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

What are the rotations on the vertical parts??? Is it 90 on the lauch side and 270 on the down side???
It appears so.

well, this is definately the tallest coaster in the world, after just seeing it in person, i can tell you this is taller than Superman at SFMM, as i've seen that too. Heres yet again a nother hieght chart i made:

Rctycoon2k - Your height chart also shows MF being 330 ft. tall.

Well, that's chart is only accurate for points equidistant from the viewer. Since MF is closer, it'll look like it's taller on the chart. Magnum's hill (which I think I see in the background) shows up aruond 140' or so because it's so far away.

Rctycoon2k,

Dragster is only supposed to be 10-15ft or so taller than S:TE. You can tell that it is 10-15 feet taller just by sight at how far away? For a 400ft. plus structure?

I'm sure you can tell they are of similar size but to say you can notice a 10ft. difference on a 400 ft. plus structure is total BS.

ApolloAndy is right. The only close (and not really so!) comparison on that pic would be PT.

weeeeehhhdaminute!
I think on your chart, 30 ft is where 0 ft should be, no?
0 ft is at lake-level, and the 30ft bar looks about right for being the ground-height of the terrain.
That makes a minus of 30 ft for Dragster, and there you go.. it's ONLY 386 ft.
:o)
jeeeeeez

Some of those charts "COULD" be right if every single ride in the picture was on top of each other. Read some topics of at GTTP and it has some very good geussing. Very mathematical and possibly correct because they factor in the distance from each ride.
