Believe me ... you've all helped enough!Paula
Is there a reference to '8' here somehow (as in '8 is enough')???
The inverted reference is possible....but...aren't B&Ms expensive????
Wouldn't that make sense, because if you're going to spend money to change the Bamboo Chute, might as well go all the way and change it into something marketable.

A whole new section would require a lot out of that 13.5 million, especially with all the themeing, layout, plumbing and electrical, roller coaster, etc. If the Bamboo Chute HAS to be changed, put into a smaller footprint to allow for the new midway (I don't think putting the Bamboo Chute over the entrance to the new section would be a very wise idea. Think of the possible leaks onto a busy midway, or the disruption of theming; then again, I'm not all that terribly familiar with the layout of that area) a Proslide CannonBOWL would be a good thing to change it into, both in reducing the amount of area it consumes and in increasing the marketablility of that particular attraction.
And who's to say that something like a ProSlide Rocket isn't also out of the option?
And the Rockets are expensive, that would be a big chunk of the money.
Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger
There were references to a big brown bird, Cooler underground and again 66* is the average temperature underground year round. I remember that from a cave tour years ago.
Big Brown Bird= Thanksgiving
Cooler underground and 66* and 24 seconds and air conditioned dark ride mention = Tunnel
20ft wide = Path widths
84 people = Staff
Chuck, Ready to ride the Wild Turkey
66 degrees is the average temperature underground year round.
Maybe where your at, but here in Indiana (and most of the midwest is 52-55 F underground. Take it from a caver who spends most of his weekends underground, I know this for a fact.
ALSO, This is off topic a bit, but I was just watching the video to Splashin safari thats on Holiday Worlds website, I had a thought that accured to me when watching the part where it shows Zinga... It would have been a much scarier ride if you guys had left the top uncovered. Instead of a funnel, it should have been a half circle, just imagine that thrill of your tub coming within a foot of the rim of this huge bowl...
It's still a fun ride though...

Actually, Landon, that was the oiginal design (ProSlide). When we announced Zinga, our graphics showed the "half-pipe" look. Then ProSlide decided to make it a funnel.
We had the very first one, btw. And the first year, it didn't have a conveyor--we retrofitted one in '04.

As for the 20 feet wide, why does everyone think it is the path widths? I think the clues would be more about the attractions themselves, and I also think a path would be wider than that. My guess on that is still the tunnel width for the HW attraction and maybe a slide width for SS.
Also, if the 24.2 seconds refers to the total time underground, it might not all be at once like RavenTTD mentioned. If it drops below ground level a few times and then pops above ground for some airtime, it would seem to be more similar to what a groundhog does when running from hole to hole...
Does anyone else think that there might be a record set for the number of simultaneous users on Coasterbuzz around the time of the annoucement?...because I do.
Oh, and I can also vouch for the 52-55 degree underground temps here- I've been to Marengo and Wyandotte caves way too many times as a child.
Chuck, who once again screwed up facts.
