The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

just like a freak to come on here and start attacking without even visiting. The park only two years ago planted over 500 trees. The area the new section is going in was a corn field at one time and HAD NO TREES but Im sure that is going to change. The park plans very hard to save as many trees as possible and even changes the layout of thier coasters to save them.

Now Jesus Freak, You should ask for forgiveness for that careless post.

Chuck

It was a joke. I didn't mean it seriously.

^That's ok. We won't crucify you here.

The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch

Well, at least not on Arbour Day.
All of this Arbor day talk reminds me of the commericials that used to be on tv that went, "Trees, trees, National Arbor Day Foundation spread the word around the nation about trees."

Dave Dragon, go Dave Dragon, and the Star Force Five!

It's going to be a new version of the Zoombabwe slide, only you ride it in fully enclosed rafts so that you don't get wet!

Just another example of Holiday World giving their customers exactly what they ask for!

LOL Dave, the original "LoCoSuMo in a waterslide"!?!

"New for '06, free BRUISES!"
Will HW ever stop the innovating? ;)

I know we have discussed every holiday possible, except one, Father's Day. I suggest a new woodie called "Hoosier Daddy!" Just a thought.

I wouldn't worry about it, JesusFreak. The rest of us have a sense of humor...

Well, except nasai. He has a twisted sense of humor.

^^"Hoosier Daddy!" Brilliant!
All I can say is I want a BIG woodie >150' tall, >5500' long, >30 seconds of total airtime & >70* degrees and than I will have to move next door to the park and buy a lifetime pass!!! >= greater or more than.

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!
I have a feeling its a masterblaster they are installing. I'm sorry guys I guess im getting cold feet.
Maybe they are getting one of those too but running through the woods for almost a half mile will be a wooden coaster.

Chuck 99.9% sure of it.

*smacks forehead at the Hoosier Daddy name*

Also the new holiblog entry had me in stitches. Poor Paula walking down the path and seeing that lovely item.

Watch the tram car please....
Chuck does it look like an out and back layout running though the woods judging from the clearing you saw?

When I worked in TV we used to call the Jerry Springer show "Hoosier Daddy" because on every other show a paternity test was worked in somehow.

The only long clearing that can be seen from the ground is the new access road that goes out to Bahari. Across the valley from Eagles flight it looked like there were footers being dug. I'll snag some pictures and put them up on Negative-G this weekend.

Thankfully HW doesn't have to worry about you being a neighbor ;)

"Hoosier Daddy" okay while laughing and thinking that is the best name ever. I realize maybe not at HW, however it does make me wonder when Indiana Beach will be adding a coaster. That definately sounds like something they would name one of their rides. LESS THAN 18 DAYS TO GO, MAYBE!
Mamoosh,
Why all the negativity, other than that guy has probably never rode The Beast and cannot fathom that if a wooden coaster travels that far there is barely any airtime and that at 150 feet tall with a 70 degree drop it will take nearly half mile of straight track before it goes into its first turn or climb so that everyone does not suffer whiplash or cause the train so much stress on its upstop wheels it derails, other than that why all the negativity. Of course that does make me wonder how far those paths go back into the woods, but then again this is a family park, I doubt they build anything that will scare people. Although The Beast is the longest, although by no means would I doubt letting it be a childs first coaster.

He's not wishing for something like Beast, he's wishing for something like Colossus @ Heidi Park. Its an obsession of his. No negativity on my part...but the chances that HW is going to get something with the stats he rolled off is HIGHLY improbable.
The hint was in yesterday's Holiblog. New for the Halloween Section, Fear Factor the ride. Riders on coaster one have to see how many pair of dirty underwear they can retrieve from along side the track while riders on coaster two throw tennis shoes at the riders on coaster one.
