That was bad Jim, Really bad :)

ARRRRRRRRGGGGHHH!!

LOL make it a Capt. Jack Sparrow Day theme...oops wrong company ;)

Well maybe if you're going to have a western themed area, you could make it a Lousiana Purchase day....that might work...

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Actually Mardi Gras would work. But aren't we getting way ahead of ourselves here?

Mardi gras...?

I thought it was a family park.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Not a park about *making* families?

Wow, talk about a page out of 'Buzz history! ;)

Paula, you're slacking with your blogs. ;)
2 new entries from May 13th and 17th are up.

Man I feel bad for Paula's son Tom... Taken to task on her blog.

Moral of the Story: Hell hath no fury like a mother who's son deletes her blog from his RSS listing.

Haha, Tom got Holiblogged! Yeah, I've been using that term in weird ways recently. What's up with that?
HAHA The one from today is the best post yet! Gotta love ya momma--or she may just HoliBlog you!
I got my pics up now. Concerning those L braces in the pizza sauce, here and here they can be seen on a wood support woodie, and here they can be seen on a steel support woodie.

But do you really think Holiday World will put a steel supported wooden coaster??
In short...No. I have two takes on this, one, HW are such traditionalists and being in the wooded setting too, they would never even consider it. Then in contrast I thought boy what a small park with probably minimal offseason staffing. Do they really want the headache of catering to 3 wooden rollercoasters each offseason? Especially Legend which is huge and this new one which might be bigger or much bigger. Obviously they could hire more people if that was an issue but I guess the sales pitch on the steel supports is the low maintenance.
my gut is that they might do a mixed support (steel and wood) system for the new wood coaster based on where the ride is.

In other words, if the coaster is in an already wide open/cleared area, it will use the standard wood supports, but when the ride disappears into the woods, it will transition to steel supports because the steel supports are narrower and, as such, will require less trees to be cut down, which will make Will Koch happy because he hates cutting down trees.

George, that sounds like *exactly* what HW is up to.....wood supports throughout would require *clearcutting*, and Will doesn't like that AT ALL...

The pizza sauce buckets are for the "wooded portions" of the coaster, places where they need some elevation above ground level...wood supports will work fine wherever the coaster 1)sits low to the ground, or 2) travels through previously-deforested areas.

Hopefully it'll prove a tad more *aggressive* than BoulderDash...and I *will* be riding this ride next year! :)

Those pieces are found on Hades as well, so I don't know how any of you extrapolate that this is going to be a wood structured coaster anywhere.

^Well I have yet to see Paula confirm that it is even going to be a coaster.... ;)

Correct, Swoosh...she mentioned an "expansion" which could be anything.
That many of those braces? This is a wood track coaster...or at least it better be. ;) Jeff is right, those pizza L braces could be used for wood or steel supports. I was sure they were wood before because I could not find them in steel pics, but they are easy to see in person and I got a good shot of one. I still think wood supports just based on it being HW, but if they go very large with this ride, who knows? Either way it should be a good ride. :)

Who says it has to be all steel support or all wood support? A certain company's website says they can design a coaster using both.
