Tears for Fears or PKI

With PKI's last weekend coming up, I considered staying down there both days.

Then one of my favorite bands (Tears for Fears) reunited and put out a fantastic new Record called "Everybody loves a happy ending".

This tour, going on now is their first since the early 90's and is supposed to be pretty good. They will be in Columbus at Promowest Pavillion at 6:30pm Saturday 11-6.

So, Instead of planning a full weekend at PKI, I'll just opt for closing day so I can see them.

Now if only Morrissey would add on some Ohio locations for his tour....

I'm just anxious for Janet to start her next tour, even if she dosen't have another Wardrobe Malfunction. I would like to see Tears for Fears, though. I loved them as a youngin'.

Alright! I loved Tears For Fears! That sounds like it would be a great show!

Too bad they won't be AT PKI. ;-)

I dunno... is Oleta Adams going on tour with TFF? If so, I'd say it's worth it. She made the 1989 tour. Without her, it's just 80's nostalgia.

OMG, Jeff likes Tears for Fears?

I don't know whether to be impressed...or frightened.;)

The park isn't going anywhere, who knows if TFF will still be together next year or tour again. Why take the chance...see the band.

mOOSH [agrees that "Everybody Loves A..." is a great CD!]

I would definitely go see TFF. I would love to see Morrissey (fell in love after I heard he and The Smiths influenced one of my fave bands, Brand New) sometime as well. I'll be at PKI on Sunday and that should hopefully be plenty of time to end the season... Even though mine will hopefully extend to December with Dollywood. ;)

+Danny, waiting for WinterFest to come back one day

Twice now I've been at SFGAm during the day, and at an Aerosmith show in the evening, one downstate and one in Wisconsin. Granted the drive from Columbus to Cinci is worse.

I would go see TFF, but the band I am looking forward to seeing the most AGAIN is Duran Duran once they start touring again. LOVE the new song.

Tina-they were on Carson Daly the other night and said they're starting a US tour in February. And they're all the original 5 now too, which I've never seen. My first tour was "Notorius," after the breakup.

Did you see them on Carson the other night? Dawny made me watch them and they're alright. Maybe I had to live through that time to really get into them. ;)

I really want to see Nine Inch Nails live.

No, I didn't see it! Damn! That's makes TWO shows I missed!

I first saw them in 1984, during the whole Seven and the Ragged Tiger heydey (all five original members). I was 12 and screaming like a little girl. Wait, I was a little girl. lol.

I saw them again in Philly in 1993 and then again at PKI in 2000.

I would LOVE to see all five of them again. I think I am going to cry. (sigh).

We gotta go see them Dawny (and drag Danny with us). lol!

Danny has to bail us out of jail once we are busted for stalking Simon and John. ;-)

You would've been such a good new waver/new romantic, Danny. Your hair has got a lot of potential for styling and we've already agreed you'd be hot with eyeliner and mascara. ;)

One of the things I miss most about that 80s music era, and maybe I'm remembering with rose colored glasses, but in my very diverse 5th grade classroom, there didn't seem to be any obvious music/race divide. We all liked everything: Duran Duran, Prince, the Police, Madonna, Michael Jackson, LaToya Jackson (!), and yes, Oleta Adams. :)

I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can. <sigh>

Come to think of it, I don't think that song is THAT old, so sub in a Billy Ocean ballad. ;)

Danny also has the chance to see Rehasher live on the 7th at The Spot in Elyria. But he's missing it for PKI closing.

Tisk on him ;)

Let me know when Erasure re-unites. LOL

Erasure opened for Duran Duran on the "Notorius" tour. James opened on one of the late 90s "we need some money" tours. Funny how times change.

All three, plus NIN, are on my IPod. :)

He DOES have the potential for it doesn't he Dawn?

LOL! I suddenly have visions of Danny with a Flock of Seagulls haircut, or something from Kajagoogoo.

No! How about the lead singer from Spandu Ballet?

We need to get him drunk and dress him up sometime. lol.

Save your martini money, he'd probably do it willingly. :)

I know, this, much, is, true
