SF gave up on trying to sell it to another park already.
I don't expect a new coaster in 2005, no construction has started at all. I would be happy if the water park got a new Tornado waterslide and the theme park got something (drop tower, kiddie area rehab or another flat ride).
Nope. Shockwave is now being prepared to be melted down. It is in even more pieces than before.(If you know what I mean.)

What are you talking about I already spotted crates behind Mine Train and I have heard a rumour about digging going on at the the eastside of the park by Screaming Eagle. *** Edited 10/16/2004 11:26:00 PM UTC by stlcoasterguy77***

Lets just hope that they make the right choice and go with PTCs.
The east side of the park is really the only logical location for a new roller coaster if you look at the park property boundries, but I don't believe that 2005 will be the year for a new coaster. I think that during this off season money will be spent on general improvements throughout the park. Especially with Six Flags building a waterpark in Chicago and the world tallest roller coaster in New Jersey, I think their budget might be spent. I can't believe that any of you have a doubt in your mind that they wouldn't theme it after superman, reguardless of the so called "themed area" in which it would reside. Nearly every other Six Flags park has cashed in on the Superman market, so I would expect St. Louis to do the same (purely for merchandise reasons). Did you ever stop and think about how exactly the name "The Boss" fits into the Brittania section of the park. It really doesn't. As for the cranes that people may have seen around the park, they are there 365 days a year. They are usually sitting behind the scenes near the maintenance headquarters. (So don't get your hopes up just over that)

Well, hypers carry a very streamlined course, narrow and not many supports (compared to a Wooden coaster ya know) so... just run the Haunted Hayride under the coaster. Problem Solved.
There is no way that would ever happen, with the new safty policies that Six Flags has. Most employees are not even allowed to go near the coasters. Nearly every area within 50 feet of a roller coaster is a DANGER ZONE now, or a RESTRICTED AREA. If you look around the park, you will see these new signs everywhere.
By the way, who flippin cares about a hayride that last for only four weekends a year. I think that is last priority on most peoples minds.
River King Mine Train Op 2004
Mr. Freeze Op 2005
All of those crates you can see whenever riding the regular Train or the Mine Train are what all of the Fright Fest decorations are stored in during the off season.
Two months ago I never saw those crates behind Mine Train or where they store the FF stuff at so in my opinion I think it might have something to do with whats coming in 2005. I could be wrong though.
