Six Flags New Stuff

Depends on the reason for the h-o. Or is it just a ho we're now talking about?

Anybody know why the dark knight ride was pulled from all three parks websites?

That is pretty strange. I checked the sites for those three parks and there is no mention of them on the home pages, no listings for them on the rides pages, and the press releases are gone from the news pages. I checked all of the other park websites and the ones getting new rides still have the new ride announcements right there on the home page. And I don't think they reverted to old versions of the sites, either -- the Great Adventure page still has the new parade listed on the home page, and the SFNE site still has the new name for the Batman floorless coaster on the Rides page. Sure looks like all references to these rides have been purposely removed.

Wonder what happened?

Maybe SF just realized (after checking out C'Buzz) that they already HAD a ride named Dark Knight?

LOL! :)

Wouldn't surprise me. Maybe they're going to change the name to Batman: Knight Flight? ;)
Or maybe Batman escaped? :)

Batman escaped to upstate New York.
My question is this: where will the Dark Knight be located in SFNE? Was it the south end by the 1950s section someone said? (pretty squished park to play anything like that)
I'm pretty sure the press release said it would be in the DC Comics area, but I don't remember if it mentioned the specific spot.

Probably where the Joker dark ride is...
Ya...I find it incredibly bizarre that all mention of the three "The Dark Knight Coaster"s have completely disappeared. Removed from the main site, from each individual park home page, from each park's news page, and from each park's thrill rides page.
Perhaps BatwingFan changed their mind. ;)

A day at the park is what you make it!

I think it would be hilarious if next week, they reannounce The Dark Knight Coasters -- but instead of reappearing on the home pages of Great America, New England, and Great Adventure, we see them on the pages of Kentucky Kingdom, America, and Magic Mountain. ;)
^^^^^ I believe SFNE's will be going in place of the Batman arena.
The Batman coasters are still mentioned if you go to the "Six reasons to buy an '08 pass" page for each of the parks. Or at least they were this morning even though the big announcement on the main page was gone.
Sorry Moosh, I'm not a prude in anyway, but wasn't that a little over the top? Well, at least you're implying that he doesn't suffer from erectile dysfunction, so no Viagra/Levitra ads in the parks...for now.

Wait, so is having that h-o supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing? I'm confused.

E.D. is a bad thing, but I thought there are better ways to phrase things in a public forum, even if you're angry, which it seems Mamoosh is. That's all I was saying.

What I was saying with the ads was that I don't want to be waiting in line for Kingda Ka, Vertical Velocity, or Mr. Freeze and see "Number of times you'd have to ride [fill in the blank] before you reach your four-hour limit and need emergency-room treatment.":)

The parks are going to re-announce them with animations and visuals.

There are two types of people in the world. People who like coasters and idiots.

I'm not the least bit angry. Saying Shapiro has a "h-o" simply means he's "very intent" on removing problematic rides. The phrase has ZERO sexual connotation. And I support him 100%.

Well the original Dark Knight at SFNE and now known as BTR and when Six Flags announces that Batman the Dark Knight will be enclosed the general public might think that they enclosed BTR(old Dark Knight).

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

Well, that's cool that you're not angry Moosh. I just think it came out really awkward. And the reason I mentioned the anger is because there's been a whole lot of it on here in the last week.

The phrase you used is also one that I don't think that I've heard in the context of business decisions before, and if I have it's been a really long time.

Five years& half a decade with no new attractions to show for it is too darn much for me to tolerate any longer.

*sighs* and yet again reminds BatwingFan that two attractions were added in 2005. Bahama Blast and Tornado. What you really mean is two new attractions that you, selfishly, want to ride. I wonder if the SF ads an unannounced attraction to HH, if you will be back next season?

I don't even visit the waterpark section at either SFA or KD & only ride the flats, coasters & a couple of water rides in the theme park side.

Yes tornado & BB were added in 05 but those are waterpark attractions, not theme park attractions....there is a difference you know. The rides side of the park has seen no new ride additions since 2003 with PBR<a water ride of all things> as the new attraction & 08 doesn't look to be any different & no,I don't count avalanche as a new addition as it was simply taken apart & moved further down the midway from it's original location by JJ.
