The total land for the new park is 112 acres. That is a pretty decent sized park. With 25 attractions, that also is a very good number to start. I'm sure some of the 112 acres will be set aside for expansion.

Is 112 acres the size of the park itself, or does that acreage include the parking lots? If the park is 112 acres (excluding parking), then that is a decent size indeed and we can expect great things in the future.

I remember Mutton Hollow as a child. If they own all that land, then they will have no problems expanding.
They own all of that land.
Dollywood also lyes in a an area that is known across the country for its many crafts, arts, and festivals. You can take it that all these people don't just go to an arts and crafts fair in Piegon Forge and then go straight home.

Chris,

I never asked anybody and was just going on my personal observations that the times I am there during in the winter that the coasters run weater permitting and they seemed to stop running TNT and WF if the temp got below the mid 40s. Some reliable source told you 33 or 38 or whatever then fine.

Yes that the temps I Know they for TNT wildfire it could be 35 rain and 40 no rain. I was there a few years ago and it was below freezing. They check the tempature every 5 mins when it was 32 and when it hit 33 they sent the first test train. A few trains later it opened up The temp stayed only above 33 degrees for about an hour and there was a line the whole time to ride TNT. This was in 2000 and Wildfire had just recived their trains and was getting it ready to test run durring the Winter (when it got warm enough) Durring that test run period I have heard that it had to be above 45 degress until the train and track got broken in. 45 is probally the min temp for that ride in the begining of the season. Durring Christmas time the rides are well broken in and can operate at a lower temp.

BTW Fire in the Hole (durring christmas its decerated with lights all the buildings and the simuated Train tunnel) and Run Away Oar Cart can operate at below freezing temps.

Jeff, Did you forget to feed the Raptor again? That Raptor is not in a good mood. See http://www.orlandosentinal.com/business/tourism/orl-asecbirds19071902jul19.story?coll=orl%2Dbusiness%2Dheadlines%2Dtourism and you know what I mean.
