SIlver Dollar City, 2003

Hello. We all know that SDC, Inc. has bought out the small Branson USA park. We all know they are adding a new ride in that park. I went to SDC yesterday, it was great, Wildfire was a walk-on... but anyway, In the woods, visible from Buzz Saw Falls, Wildfire, and the train, there are new paths that lead into the woods. These were not here when I visited the park in April. Also visible from the top of WIldfire's lift, There was a new building as well (all the paths lead to this) it was not a permanent (spell?) building, it looked like a large trailor home. Parked outside of it were 2 white trucks, and what looked like a crane, but there were no supports or anything. But I am pretty sure this means that Silver Dollar City will be soaring high once again in '03
*cough* wood *cough* ;)

Although I know really nothing about the park my guess would all be a woodie. Most likely CCI.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

That is most likely what it will be
I went there a few weeks ago and didn't notice anything. I don't know if I'd expect anything from SDC. They just bought Branson USA and expect BUSA to get something before SDC does. I talked to a park employee who said that BUSA will be getting 2 "monster" attractions for next year, but aren't giving out any information at this time. Also, SDC is completely re-doing BUSA and the employee I talked to (who has his own painting shop) said that some of the SDC employees may get moved to BUSA next year. The park will also be changing there combo ticket system. Next year the combo ticket will be for White Water and BUSA and SDC won't have a combo ticket of any kind.

I dont know if I will visit BUSA the first year or not. rct.... I can see SDC getting a new ride as well, the way attendace is going this year.

I don't see SDC putting in a new ride yet. They will develop the old Branson USA land first and get that up and running before they look into expanding their own ride selection.

However, they could be installing a new admin building or eatery or store. Anything is possible until piers are in the ground.

Ya, SDC just got Wildfire and BUSA has like nothing so I think they'd spend money on them first.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

"Your MOM would be a kick butt ride name"

And they make plenty of Money they can afford it. Woodies are very affordable. SDC can build 3 of these things on the amount of money it takes to build WildFire. And I know SDC has the money to pump into their new attractions. I know they Spent 7 Million on Buzzsaw Falls then the next year they built a big new theater and convention hall for their events (Red Gold Hertige Hall), The following tear they spent 14 million on WildFire. Dollywood also grown fast too during these years with them spending moeny on Tenn. Tornado expansions and the new Water Park.

I also know that SDC makes more money then WOF and Six Flags, Becasue they have stuff for everyone from ages 0-120 years of age.

I tell you right now that they will still have SDC on the Combo Ticket System.

The Following Shows/Attractions are on this combo ticket system right now.

Silver Dollar City

Showboat Branson Belle (When I ride Wildfire I can sometimes see this boat off in the distance)

White Water Branson (This one is still a SDC park not a Six Flags Park. I belive the ones that Six Flags own were owned by SDC first. I know WW Atlanta was a SDC park before it was bought out)

Dixie Stampede Branson (A Dollywood production)

OK, why do you not think SDC will get a new ride next year? Their attendance is off to the best in quite a few years. We ALL know they have the money to do it. So I smell Southern Yellow Pine in Branson, MO next year.

Is Branson USA going to reopen? If not, I can see the flats being distributed between the three SDC parks to round out their flat ride collection.

Sawblade, if you had read my reply carefully you would've realized that I am talking about NEXT year's combo ticket plans. I realize this year that Silver Dollar City has combo ticket options, because I just visited the park a couple of weeks ago.

-----------------

yes, BUSA will open next year, but SDC is completely re-doing it

If the rides were auctioned of then is SDC going build completely new ones(like multiple coasters) or did they just not sell them all?

If you honestly think that SDC won't add a ride next year, you need a checkup (from the neck up). SDC park II (BUSA) is scheduled to open next year, however SDC Inc has NOT confirmed that this will be the case. To quote SDC, "At this time we can not confirm an opening date for the new park. We hope to have the park in full operation for the 2003 season, but can not comment on an opening at this time." That was from an email response from the company to an email that we sent to them.

Yeah, that's what they told me as well.
Both BUSA and SDC seem like a very strong possibility for new rides at each of the new parks.

Yea I also belive that they wont take SDC off the list anyword of you hearing this is just rumor and not fact. Until an anocement is made on this I will stand my ground that the new park will be added to the combo ticket plan.

BTW If the new construction is not for a new ride. I would hope its to make needed improvments to the WildFire area (Add a Restroom please Also a Sitdown restraunt that overlooks the ride and Table Rock Lake would be nice too).
