I thought that SDC was going to announce today...

I do not understand why they would want to build up two seperate parks of the same type in the same town. It seems like they would just be canabilizing their own attendance. I think if they were to operate two parks they would need to have different purposes. Why put coasters in both?

Well SDC is themed to the extreme. I mean everything about it is a throw back to the 1890's. They want to get a younger crowd into SDC. Build up the other park as more of an extreme park. Then they can make a profit from EVERYBODY!

Is the name of their new park going to be City Nights?

Have they made an announcment yet? They were going to this week.

Although I know really nothing about the park my guess would all be a woodie. Most likely CCI.

Oh really, but it will definately be GCI, and a twister, like viper.

Nothing has been officially announced but GCI would be a pretty safe bet at the moment. At least its where I'd place my money if I was a bettin' man. We'll know for sure soon enough ;-)

I agree that a woodie is the most likely coaster coming (if they get one), and I hope it will be a terrain woodie along the lines of Raven or Boulderdash (sp?). They have plenty of space and trees and hills....it just seems like a perfect fit.

Actually, StandUpFan, we're talking about SDC's new park. It will most likely be a twister along the lines of Viper. but we'll see...;)

CoasterBill - If GCI is building the Branson City Lights woodie I'd expect something twisted similar to Roar or Lightning Racers and not a Cyclone-clone like Viper.

Standupfan, I am with you, a terrain woodie would be perfect at Silver Dollar City.

Oh yeah, it would be amazing. Roar is also a great guess mamoosh. Cant wait for tomorrow I guess. I thought today was the day...
