We will wait for tomorrow.... by the way Lost River of the Ozarks reopened today...

I was kinda wondering if they'll gonna reopen the ride this year or not. They got it reopened within a week the reason is that Lost River is one of if not the most popular ride at SDC.

Jeff, Did you forget to feed the Raptor again? That Raptor is not in a good mood. See http://www.orlandosentinal.com/business/tourism/orl-asecbirds19071902jul19.story?coll=orl%2Dbusiness%2Dheadlines%2Dtourism and you know what I mean

It's extremely popular. Even my "I refuse to ride rides" mother loves Lost River. I am glad the invesagation and the rebuild (I guess they rebuilt) was quick.
They were really fast rebuilding it.
I guess we will have to wait ONE more day...
Silver Dollar City is a top notch park. I am surprised that the accident occured in the first place. As for the wait, I want to know what the hold up is. Where they going with CCI and then the sudden announcement?

Soemone is not up to date with the industry. CCI is gone. As for what they building its already been contracted and the company (Whoever this may be) has already been working getting it ready for next year.

Here is the official press release with an awesome rendering of the entrance..

Again, SDC Inc. changes their minds.. this time, the name.. A couple of weeks ago, the front runner was City Nights.. but I like Celebration City anyways (thats what I voted on!) Peter has a habit of changing his mind quite a bit

This is amazing, if you look at that picture in the press release, there is a steel coaster there, what's this about?

The steel coaster appears to be the Windstorm (model name) that was there when the park was Branson USA and was called the Firestorm. It was not part of the auction back in may.

Come on, Celebration City was Visionland's idea!!! Where's the copyright?

Most likely in the same boat as VisionLand.

KDEB, local FOX affiliate, just had a segement on the park and Mr Bob Montgomery said that the new coaster is going to be in the section of the park themed to Route 66 and the '50s. Mr Montgomery also stated that the new park would open in the afternoon and be open till later in the night compared to Silver Dollar City. SDC closes at 7pm during the summer so this makes sense as you can hit SDC during the day and CCity at night. Found it interesting that the Dragon kiddie coaster (Wisdom Industries) which was sold at the auction is still sitting in the same place, so, guessing the buyer backed out or could not round up the money.

Yea, thats what I thought. Ever from the beggining, they've said it would be something like Citywalk or Pleasure Island.

I wonder how there "Laser and Pyrotechnics Show" will do. They'll keep it nightly for the first season, and after that they'll start that "on a budget" crap

BS Dukies they will, SDC, Inc. never fails to follow through.
Is this going to be built on the former Branson USA site? If so I don't remember any areas that a 100' GCI woodie could fit, although I don't remember the area that well.

The GCI is on the parking lot.

Hmm... They seem to have failed keeping Blazing Fury at Dollywood up to date.

They also forgot about the original theme of Dollywood Boulevard before they changed it to Adventures in Imagination

So where is the entrance going to be? And what about a parking lot since they ripped the old one up? I'm getting the impression that this park is going to be small.
