If practice makes perfect but noone is perfect, then why practice.
The "ghost town" area is set up for the train during Fright Fest, it just sits there all year long.
Six Flags is moving around somethings up in the graveyard, but why? Is it for Fright Fest or for the 2003 ride?

I believe it is a 2003 ride. I saw tractors moving dirt and a bunch of people in trucks going in and out of back there. Also there has been alot of talk about an Intamin hyper or possibly an impulse.
Hey were the trucks White S-10s. And what type of machinery did you see moving dirt around. And were the tracters by chance Blue?
The thing I keep hearing around the park is a drop tower from Itamin, bossstl have you been hearing that as well?
Also to comment on some of the things said before, there are Halloween decorations and an Itamin 1st gen free fall up in the bone yard, along with another ride, not sure what it is though.

GO HUSKERS!
All I have been hearing is no big rides. Maybe a Flat or two (ie a drop tower).

I went to SFSL about a month ago and i was riding the train and noticed a lot of markers in a field. Oh the speculation!
Now were these markers spread out in the form of like coaster footers or closer like as a tower ride? I looked at Screamscape.com today and I hadnt caught up on their updates. It says the park will most likely get a new attraction next year: A drop tower, hyper or impulse from Intamin.
I wish the park would like just go for a big expansion with like a whole new section. With a new coaster, possibly a tower too, and a few flat rides.

I suggest they need both a Hyper (an impulse is redundant considering we already have Mr. Freeze) and a Tower Drop. The park needs variety...! If a Hyper does come then the park will be okay in the coaster dept. (although the need of a good looper can still be argued). Flats are definately needed... several years running now. Oh, and a better Kids Land is essential too.

Out-Do the Eagle and the Boss... Nah. A Hyper is Apples and Oranges regarding that. Firstly the Eagle is 26 years old... it will be outdone by anything Modern. And the Boss will retain its loyality from all Woodie fans, especially being one of the Last Monster CCI's. A Hyper will only add variety to a Park that really needs it. If it is decided that a Hyper would not 'Fit' it will be a bad, bad decision. Having said that however... a Floorless would be welcomed as a great Hyper alternative since there are none in the Midwest.

Steve,
The phrase "out do" wasn't meant to imply that they don't want a coaster to be better, more exciting, or more intense than the Boss or Screaming Eagle (which by the way after several hundred rides over the last 26 years "I" personally still find a thrilling rush compared to some "modern" coasters) but to imply that "they" do not want to drastically change the skyline of the park as the Eagle is "their" signature skyline for 26 seasons. This was not posted as an opinion of Angnjc but was a repeat from upper management from an extensive conversation about 3 months ago. Personally we would LOVE a new hyper, but would take ANY new coaster!
