Nah a duck is entirely too slow, it would take longer then taking the skyway. I would move but then I would be too far from my beloved CP.

I have rode the three CCI's at Big Chiefs. Zeus is a God. ;)
In fact S:UF's pretzel and Cyclops ditch dive are my two favorite coaster moments. The most extreme and prolonged positives ever and the most air ever.
And a duck would be fine on the road, but it goes at walking speed in the water.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

See, Ericsson, the problem is that if they had made public Shockwave's demise in mid-summer instead of Whizzer, I believe Shockwave would've been spared over Whizzer. Would more people have been upset over Shockwave's departure or Whizzer's? I would venture to say Shockwave, but that's just my guess.
And most believe there is room without taking shockwave out. It will be sad to see its removal. I may shed a tear -- so long old friend. And the saddest part is that not of us got a "farewell" ride.

About Whizzer vs. Shock Wave...Yes, I'm complaing about the results of an action I approved of. And still do. I would much rather see Shock Wave go than a ride that is much, much closer to my heart, and way better designed. But, I still liked Shock Wave, and will complain for two reasons. I think, that with a little clever planning, another coaster could be put in without taking out Shock Wave. I also don't want my skyline destroyed. If they do have to take Shock Wave down, I want something that will be just a visually distinctive. Oh, and a third reason; I don't want a clone. And, while we're at it, I really don't like Superman at all. As in the character. So I really don't want a ride themed after him in my home park.
But, when all is said and done...
I am really glad to be getting a new coaster.
I am really really glad to be getting a flying coaster.
I am really, really, really glad that Whizzer is staying.
The complaints are just 'cause I (like most people) like to gripe. It'sa human nature.
Cyclops in Back is intense I still have a mark of where the bruise used to be from riding.

"MagnumForce: Reverse that idea and it makes sense... Build in Orleans Place, tear down Shockwave, and put a waterpark in the parking lot."
I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Anyone willing to place any bets ?

I haven't ridden S:UF, but X's first raven turn is also intense, so I bet this coaster is gonna be really intense.
Long live intensity!

Superman, the ride of steel at Warner Brothers Movie World in Madrid has the same track color. Remember Floorless, sitdown, inverted, and flying track looks exactly the same to the naked eye. The only real way to tell what it will be is by looking at the supports. When supports arrive, our questions will be answered. But, from talking to my contacts, it matches the coaster being fabricated at SOF- a flyer.
Well, that isn't true Chris. You can further break down the type of track that it is by looking at the cross ties on the track. If the cross ties have all straight sides, meaning no curves, then the track is for a sitdown, speed, or floorless. If the crossties have a slight curve on them, then the track is for an inverted or a flying.
Go to: http://www.coasterbuzz.com/features/trackspotting101/ and you will see what im referring to.

Mike,
True there are some minor differences in the cross ties, but unless the photographer gets up close, there really isnt anyway to tell the difference. Example, here is a piece of Superman: Ultimate Flight... http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1568.htm?Picture=31
Notice that there is no curvature on the cross ties whatsoever. Certain pieces have the curvature to help reinforce the steel, others don't. Look at this photo... http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1549.htm?Picture=2
These pieces have some curve to them. That is Batman:TDK. Also, since no one has seen photos of this alleged track, it makes it even more difficult to tell. Once the photos are available, then it will be easier to tell. But if its station track like someone said, it should look the same-straight crossties.

Chris,
I forgot to mention that the curvature can only be seen regular track pieces. By that, i mean pieces throughout the course, not including the lift, station, or brakes.
As for the Superman in Madrid, those have no curavture to the cross ties. If you look here, you will see no curvature: http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery1366.htm?Picture=8 B&M do not switch between cross ties, in order to reinforce the track at certain spots, they place the cross ties closer together.
Usually, the first pieces of track to arrive on site are for the station and brakes. So true, its very hard to determine from those pieces. Mostly depends on the supports. I dont see this being a floorless.

C-Godsey: I had Six Flags listen to me once, but then I couldn't get rid of them. They started to follow me around. I told them to back off but they wouldn't. Then they'd "mysteriously" show up wherever I was.
"Oh, Moosh...how funny, I didn't know you'd be here," Six Flags would say.
Riiiight.
Eventually I had to get a restraining order and now thay're not allowed to come within 300 feet of me.
So...next time you wish Six Flags would listen to you, remember my "true" story ;-)
