Expect a clone, be happy if it's something at least slightly different than S:UF.

Which it won't be. ;)

I am proud to say my homepark has 3 B&M's, soon to be 4, hopefully.

Wow, this thread exploded with responses...(puts on his devil's advocate hat...)
I find it VERY hard to believe that track has begun to arrive when NO work has been done whatsoever to prepare for it. No footers have been poured, Shockwave's structure is still intact, and no earth moving has been completed yet track is already being delivered? Unless they plan on storing it until the work is done, I dont see any logical reason why they are receiving it so soon. Unless SOF wants to deliver as segments are done.(Southern Ohio Fabricators that is).
Also, by looking at one piece of B&M track its damn near impossible to tell Floorless, sitdown, flying, and inverted track apart. Now, when supports are on site, it will make its easier to tell. If inverted F supports appear, its pretty much gonna be a flyer. If non-inverted Y supports show, its a sitdown or floorless.
Also, what makes you think that a large floorless won't take Shockwave's place other than the fact that no height variance has been applied for?? Did you guys ever think that since Shockwave is over 170 feet tall, they don't have to get a variance for something at or below that height? Replacing a 170ft structure with another one shouldn't require another height variance. That park is in need of a floorless/sitdown multi-inversion coaster and they just might get it.
BUT, from talking to my SOF contact, they only have 2 B&M coaster orders so far.. both of them Flyers with red and yellow track. Who knows... ;)

It would be very odd if they took out Shock Wave, unless it was to make room for the new ride (okay, unless it was to make room for Superman; Ultimate Flight). doing so would needlessly keep their coaster count the same when it could have been increased, and Six Flags seems to care about sheer numbers (on paper). Sadly, it looks like Great America will be doing this odd thing. I will miss Shock Wave very much indeed. It was rough, but that first drop alone was worth it. I know a lot of you complain about it being a parking lot coaster, but this feature make it more fun to watch then any other coaster I've ever seen. Becuase of it's location, right next to the front gate, this coaster has an impact like none other. To millions of people in the Chicagoland area, this what they think of when they hear the word roller coaster.
Adieu, Shcok Wave. You will be missed.
We now return to your sheduled programing, concerning the identy of the Superman; Ultimate Flight tra... I mean, the unidentified objects in the parking lot. :-(

Great Chris great.
In all actuality I am certain that SFGadv and SFGam Are getting Superman clones. I have saw pics of the track and it is the same paint as S:UF at least. No other Superman coaster has red track with yellow rails right?
Did I just say I saw pics? I meant someone said they saw the track....

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

What if Shockwave was removed and turned into a "gasp", parking lot once again?
Just as long as the parking lot isn't a clone. I couldn't stand it if the park got a lot that didn't have a unique layout and theme.

Your creativity? Lets see, Shockwave and GASM af SFGADV are almost Identical, Demon is identical to Demon at PGA, Whizzer once had an identical twin at PGA, Viper is based on Coney Island Cyclone, there are 3 Deja Vu's and an identical Stunt Fall at WBMW in Spain, V2 is the same as S:UF and now the new VF coaster, Batman is the precurser of the spawn of B:TR's everywhere.
This leaves AE, RB, and IW as the creative coasters.
Wow that place just screams creativity.
-Brent (who loves SFGAM and doesn't care what coasters they have and would love to see an exact copy of S:UF at GAM. It's an amazing ride.)

Shopckwave was first it was copied. And demon originally had heavy creative themeing. And B:TR was the original therefore that displays quite a large amount of creativity. Technically demon(t.o.t.c) doesnt count and neither does whizzer(wizzer) because that was when marriot owned the park.

Superman, the ride of steel at Warner Brothers Movie World in Madrid has the same track color. Remember Floorless, sitdown, inverted, and flying track looks exactly the same to the naked eye. The only real way to tell what it will be is by looking at the supports. When supports arrive, our questions will be answered. But, from talking to my contacts, it matches the coaster being fabricated at SOF- a flyer.
