"Holy Bogglers Batman I've got it the answer is a Lawsuit."

Nice pics...you can even see Power Dive rusting in peace...

Very cool! Is that your album? "Who" gets the credit for those...looks like someone snuck into the employee lot OR and employee snapped those. No doubt it is a flyer...now the question is WHERE it will go and WHO is going to find the "hidden shed" with the X track in it! ;)

Thanks for the link to the pics Sam!

No that was not my album. I have no idea who gets credit either. I just stumbled across the link in an email I recieved.

I've found out the person who took them here is his site. http://www.geocities.com/upsidedowner02/Construction2002-2003.html

He is currently a coasterbuzz member his handle is UpsideDowner.

I am still not believing this SW removal buisness so can someone show me some pics.
goto http://coasterworld.cjb.net or ask bullguy for the rest of his photos.

Faster Than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Up in the sky it's a bird, it's a plane, it's ROBB ALVEY.

I just found out that all of the internal shops between batman and shockwave have been emptied as of 9-22-02.

Just a thought, but maybe this coaster is going on that piece of land northeast of the track's current location that was cleared. The track was put rather close to it, and there isn't anything there right now.

The question I have is what is up with Crawler. Has this ride been dismantled as of yet. And which stores are you talking about.

The shop at Shockwaves exit has been empty for a month. Other than that there are 2 other stores on that side of Orleans. One was a Tweety store and the other one is usually closed to get ready to sell Frightfest goodies/Halloween costumes and such.

Crawler is completely dismantled. It is a concrete stump.

I was referring to coaster dude/aftershock and about four others I don't know the names of.

That is just the staging area if you remember when the Deja Vu track and V2 track arrived that is where they went as well.

I wonder why SW is still on Great Americas Website

Remember everybody - nothing's OFFICIAL at this point. Great America has a notorious penchant for NOT announcing new additions until the latest possible date. Perhaps to keep the competition (who might that actually be, Valleyfair! ?) guessing.

I am sure they will removed SW from the official site when/after the announcement is official. But then again, who knows?

I am just grateful they're adding something new again next year. How cool is that? Some parks don't get new rides but for every 2 or 3 years.

"Curiosity killed the cat, and satisfaction brought it back."

Valleyfair is competition for Great America? The red-headed step child of Cedar Fair against one of the best Six Flags parks? Riiiight.

Side note, not to mention the parks are 6+ hours away from each other.

MIA is more competition then Valley Fair and that aint much. Heck CP is just as close as VF.

-----------------
All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

So to put it quite *simply*, SFGAm has no competition.

-----------------
2 superheroes in Gurnee next season? Oh the humanity. :)

First off is there really a crane sitting next to Shockwave? I am one of the few who is holding out for Shockwave and don't beleive it will be removed. I think SFGAM can fit the coaster anywhere in the park. They just have to be creative. Also even if there is a crane by Shockwave who know they might intertwine the two coasters and would have to disassemble some parts of Shockwave to access the areas. I am very optimistic and am hoping Shockwave stays.
