http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/sixflagsgreatamerica.msnw?Page=4 there was lot of progress being done all over the park many things were geting repainted. Today I am pretty sure Superman tested It sucks cause they said they were gonna test at 12:00 but nothin happend until like 12:30 this thing in the staion kept riseing and lowering. Sorry I didnt get any pics of it testing because I had to leave. There is progress being done on the lines alittle bit they added stairs going up to the staion but I couldnt see any paths on the ground. I they are still working on the ground work lots of dirt and junk lying around. But it looks like they are making awesome progress. Also did anyone see me I saw some guys talking by the fence. They sounded kinda like they knew what they were talking about coasters. I was wereing a swetshirt that said zero on it and I have long hair.Anyway sorry for no testing pics but I have lots of SM:uf pics from today I added like 28 pics just now.

Well the only inprovement that I could see was that they were painting the ticket booths. We were not allowed to wander around the park only through carousel plaza and alittle of hometown square just to get our season passes.Other than SMUF and someother touchup things that were barly noticeable nothin much else in the part of the park that I was in had changed.I looked down toward the Shockwave entrance and nothing had really happend there was no Superman Sign or any thing like http://www.themeparkreview.com/sfog02/sfog1.htm
at six flags over georgia yet atleast. They made great progress today and proably tommorow too. The weather was great alittle windy but great for working on a coaster.

Yeah, may seem gratuitous now, but I have a bunch of S:UF pics too, at my site, which is mentioned below. How odd.

Actually, there are a few in there that I can tell I found the same angles as you did. :)

I write this on my site, but I'll mention it here. The first thing you notice is how much shorter it is. I peered into Orleans Place, and you could really tell. Aside from that, though, there is no visible difference in Orleans Place, at least, yet. They've just taken the Shockwave signs away from the old Shockwave entrance.

I was there today as well and was REALLY impressed with the amount of painting going on. Ticket booths, gift shops, food stands...and, as mentioned above, that was only what could be seen from the short hike from the front gate to Hometown Square!

Raging Bul, Sky Trek Towerl and the Eagle were the only rides testing when we were there this afternoon. I was also surprised at how much new wood is on the Eagle....should make for a different ride this year...I have to imagine it will tighten things up a bit.

As far as the line for Superman, it sure seems to me that it will be a LONGER walk than even Shockwave was. The station is over on the far side (relative to the park) of Shockwave's old footprint. I am not complaining ONE BIT, just (seeing it in person today) was surprised the they positioned it the way they did. Should be neat walking underneath (which I assume is how they will run the path) the ride en route to the station.

Seeing it in person is a LOT different than looking at the wonderful pictures that people have posted. As great as the updates have been, you really don't (or at least I didn't) grasp the size/location/coolness of the ride.

Yeah every time I see Superman it gets alot cooler. I cant wait I am gonna be the first one to ride it on may 3 seriously. I uslally am cause I always run right after they let you go. I also dont have to get my season pass right after I get in. Its Gonna be awesome. You guys gotta go check it out.I will be the kid with the zero jacket and the Coasterbuzz t-shirt on SM:Uf first car first row may 3.

Thats weird we did get alot of the same shots but they were good nice job. Also Did anyone see it test today? cause I left at like 12:40 and nothing happend. They said that they were gonna test it. Other rides were testing though.

I was there around 2 PM, and there wasn't any testing going on. Condor was going through, Bull was too, so was Demon, and there were a few flat rides. Maybe there were more coasters going too, but I couldn't see any further.

I parked over by Shoc... S:UF... and they seemed to be doing a lot of work around the station. Yes, the station will be quite a walk. I don't think that the exit is further from the park than Viper's is though. There's no way...

And I was just thinking. The rush to S:UF... That has serious comedic potential. I mean, they let you up to the entrance to Orleans Place anyway, everyone will sprint the 100M dash, and then stop in front of Superman. Think about it. I have. :)

Holydumb26 - As proud as you seem to know that you will seriously be the first to ride Superman, I can guarentee you that that title goes to me and my cousin. Don't ask how, don't ask why, just hope that you get in second and can share the first row with us.
I-Nar said:

Condor was going through

That very well could have been me making it go. As to any coments on S:UF or park improvements, I would like to keep my job so I'll just be quiet.

May the G-Forces be with you!

Might take some more pics tommorow while on my way back up home so maybe look for an update tommorow sometime.

Are they going to keep the old Shock Wave fence around S:UF? I hope they don't, I hope they do the same thing as SFGAdv.

Today in the early evening, around 630ish, i drove past the park and what do I see before my eyes??? A beautiful Superman train climbing slowly up the lift hill!!! I immediately turned into the great america road and watched the train test a couple of times. This ride looked so sweet! I seriously cant wait to ride this thing...It seemed to gracefully move throughout the course without a problem. The station looks very complete, but i am not sure if construction is totally done on it. I dont own a camera so i couldnt take pics but it was unbelievable!

Surfs up in Hollister, CA! Later Dudes...
