SFGAdv Invitation Scan, DEFINITELY WORLD RECORD

I don't know who you guys are kidding. There is no way GADV will put that much effort into landscaping and theming. They just wanted to build this so they could say they have the biggest coaster. The ride probably won't be more than 430-440 ft. tall, that's not much of a difference between Dragster. Congratulations to GADV, you will have the worlds tallest and fastest roller coaster for exactly one year.

Eats ALL records huh?

Who would have ever thought Steel Dragon would lose its record this soon? =:^)

-Sean

Baller, you can't say that's so because this flyer looks similar to The Chiller's ant that coaster has excellent theming. I'd put my money on a well themed coaster. They wouldn't skimp on a world record holding coaster. If anything, they can take most of the queing wood and plants from skull mountain and use it here. ;-)

As for feeling a difference in speed, if this coaster is as short as stated during the board meeting, the launch should be more thrilling. I hope we fly through trees and bushes because that would make an awesome launch sight!

Ok sorry. It will be themed with concrete and yellow lines.

Yea speaking of "eats ALL records", it would have to be over 420 feet tall, over 120 MPH, have atleast 11 inversions, and be almost 8,000 plus feet in length. Looks like SF needs a better marketing slogan.

Maybe they'll just eat all records so there's no evidence of better rides elsewhere.

Of course it is policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dil**, we use the indefinite article 'a' dil**... never... your dil**.

This is the guy, behind the guy, behind the guy
I am pretty sure that its a doulble spiral. Like Wicked twister. You twist up and you twist down. This sounds pretty cool. Although it seems weird that it's at SFGADv, but whatever. 2005 is a big year for parks so far.

Should it say that it will "eat ALL OF THE records" if we're being grammatically correct here? ;)

So Dave, does that mean I can use my status as a recently graduated English major to be a wiseass as well? :) If so, that would be totally kool!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

I don't get it, why are they saying it's a record breaker? It's going to be 419ft tall.

Very strange, indeed!

Joe "what were you saying about me knowing a lot about this ride, Jeff?" C. ;)

How about a murder mystery revolving around a coaster site? ...

And have the climactic scene at a Denny's or Waffle House in the midwest, the killer getting his comeuppance over a big stack of pancakes (perhaps as a part of my character's Grand Slam, cuz everyone knows that's the best breakfast $6 can buy)! But aww crap, you're gonna want executive production credits, won't you? ;)

If I were a fan of dispelling facts about my personal life to complete strangers, you'd see why I'm laughing hysterically at your choice of quote. But no, it's not mine. I swear. Really. ...oh shut up!!

Hey, I'm still three years off from graduating (hell, I haven't even officially declared yet!) and I'm taking advantage of the fringe benefits. You're already in the club, bro...learn it, live it, love it! Welcome to the fold! :)

That promotional document looks forged to me.

I think CBS is behind this...

Dave, perhaps I should be welcoming you to the English majors club...where we can use big words and get away with it! Such examples are: preposterous, chardonnay (though you're under 21), and "ya'll"...or perhaps that last one is just a Gettysburg thing ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

What the hell is with this ya'll thing? Last time I checked, the word is a contraction of "you all" and apostrophes are supposed to replace the missing letters -- thus making it "y'all"!

And stop using such grandiloquent diction and convoluted grammatical structure -- I don't go to Yale, for God's sake! ;)

I think the pic is TTD, and I think the twist is going to be on the other side. If you look at the lower right, it looks like a bit of white track.

I wonder if they will use SRoS style restraints on this thing?

I think the spotlight has been stolen from Dorney in 2005
That may be true, but I am still looking forward to Dorney's REAL roller coaster rather then SFGAdv's 15 second otp.
This is the most exciting coaster news that I've EVER heard. This is mainly because I live SORT OF near SFGAdv.

I know SF has had a lot of problems with ride up-keep and what-not. However, I have a good feeling about this one. I bet SFGADv. will put a lot of effort into this ride. Like I said earlier, I'm REALLY pushing for good landscaping / themeing.

Whatever you say....

I don't see S:UF stack that much, but I've *only* been to the park 9 times so far this season.
