Your sticking with your story. However, I hope you realize you will be publicly (albeit anonmously) humiliated if your story isn't true.
A day at the park is what you make it!

You mean "when" not "if" :)
Coasterniece is REALLY in trouble if BatwingFanSFA says she's insane. That's a pretty freakin huge deal for SFA threads! :)
CoastaPlaya, When Those 3 coasters opened, MagicMountain had and still has an incredible amount of visitors. Everyweekend has had the parking lot full to near capacity, at least everytime I've been this year. MagicMountain (attendance speaking) is the single park for the Corparation that has the highest attendance anyway because it's open year round. The only time I personally saw few peeps in that park was last year during all that rain we had for like 2 months straight, causing house's all over SoCal to fall off cliffs or slide apart. SF 2nd Quater earnings report should tell the tell of the Overall company's performance coming August 8.
Reguardless of what SFA get, hopefully it will be something nice that will make them standout from the others to pull peeps in. A friend of mine that actually lives there said the water park is awesome. Coasterniece I for one don't see you being embarrassed at all if it were to turn out false of your leads because I wouldn't, these are only internet blogs, but I do agree with a couple of the others in saying that the (High) Park Officials you speak of typically don't leak info to the masses this early, because most of them don't directly deal with park guest, but that's not to say it couldn't happen or didn't happen. *** Edited 8/3/2005 3:47:06 AM UTC by Magicmike***
All I would wish for next year would be an attraction that runs reliably. Waterslides definitely fit that bill. Speed slides, racing slides, Probowls a.k.a. toilet bowl slides, etc.etc. I've been reading that the water coaster--Typhoon--at SFNE has been having problems, so I hope that they'd stay away from that.
Intimidate? Have you actually Met moosh? Real intimidating. Much like me. (where's that rolls eyes smiley, Jeff? Can we get that in the revision?)

The park really needs to improve maintenance first on some of their existing coasters before adding another one.....has anyone noticed the frequent downtime on supes this year? I have & it's getting really annoying,
I think they need to add some flats or maybe a coaster however because we've already seen too many water rides added lately with PBR in 03 & then the new HH stuff this season.
stop tryna offend each other so much..just don't say nothing if it ain't nice..seriously ya'll..it's not all that complicated..respect one another opinions..NOTHING NICE TO SAY..LEAVE IT ALONE.
Oh. Wait. Nevermind.
(Jeff, we really need that 'rolls eyes' smiley in the revision!)

MagicMike, Moosh is hardly trying to intimidate you. Point out how foolish you are? Yep. Show that you don't have a clue? B.I.N.G.O.Intimidate? Have you actually Met moosh? Real intimidating. Much like me. (where's that rolls eyes smiley, Jeff? Can we get that in the revision?)
What's the clue thatI'm missing? Maybe there's something that flew over my head that I didn't catch that you should bring to light. The issue concerning Moosh and I has been resolved, so if you want to elaborate on the matter, I'm all ears.

Yes, but the water rides are bringing people into the park. When is the last time you saw a line out of the queue for Cyclone, Tilt-a-Whirl, Krypton Comet, Alpine Bobs, Riddle Me This, Pirates Flight, The Flying Carousel, Around the World in 80 days, High Seas. Iron Eagle, Tea Cups and Rodeo are the only flats in the park I routinely see a line at. But, if you look at Renegade Rapids, Shipwreck Falls and Typhoon Sea Coaster, the lines are consistently long. They need to either add capacity to the rides (is this possible with RR and Shipwreck Falls) or add additional water rides. Their is plenty capacity available on the flat rides in the main park, plenty of capacity in terms of coasters in the main park (staffing improvements on the coasters would help with the line issue) but not enough capacity to handle the crowds for the water rides. Hurricane Harbor is a nightmare in terms of capacity now, but I'm not convinced the capacity problems in the water park aren't the result of an unusually hot/humid Summer in the Mid-Atlantic.

There is also the possibility that someone was told that SFA would like to add a Rocket, and Impulse or a water coaster over the course of the next several years. Or that they are considering one of those three types of coasters as their next coaster. Quite frankly, all three types of coasters could make sense for SFA (still up in the air about the Impulse though). But they won't be built at the same time and more importantly they aren't getting a 500 ft. rocket coaster EVER.
It definately wasn't something along the lines of, "We're going to build the tallest roller coaster in the United States. It's just like the one in New Jersey, only taller. But we don't know if we can get approval to build something that tall, in which case we'll just build a smaller one with a completely different layout. Oh, and we're also putting in an Impulse and a water coaster at the same time, because one good coaster just won't draw the crowds." {rolls eyes yet again}
